i read this aricle by a famous journalist, in Hindustantimes ...i like it, it is really a tribute to Sunjay dutt's struugles and his tough life. i am sure all sunjay's lovers will like it:
If one were to track Sanjay Dutt progress from his 1981 debut film Rocky, all the way down to his latest release, David Dhawan's Hum Kisise Kum Nahin, what emerges is a story of great courage and tenacity. Sanjay has grown from an unsure debutant to a star performer who can keep pace with both Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan. Today, on the wrong side of forty, a steady Dutt makes sure he gAnalyse this. A man who separated from his first wife Richa Sharma finds himself behind the bars for possessing a lethal weapon. He is accused of dangerous liaisons, and he journeys through darkness all alone. Friendly compassion seems to have disappeared. There is no help in sight, just hell. Analyse this. A man branded as a non-actor after his first film Rocky goes on to do action roles in which he appears to have matured considerably. Written off time and again, and stuck in the quagmire of some controversy or the other so often, he does sensitive romantic roles later. After achieving a fair amount of success as a romantic star, he switches tracks and does comedy as in the recent film Hum Kisise Kum Nahin Barring the peerless Amitabh Bachchan, his is the only presence worth taking note of ets meat in every role.Analyse this. See how this man, Sanjay Dutt, has withstood all kinds of competition ever since he took his first step in Bollywood more than two decades ago. The son of Sunil Dutt and the late Nargis, he began his journey at a time when his would-be brother-in-law Kumar Gaurav had just been crowned the ultimate chocolate hero. Gaurav disappeared from the scene. In came others like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan. But Dutt fans remained loyal to the man who is now 40 plus, and not at all threatened by the likes of Hrithik Roshan who might be getting all the ads but has not had not a single solo hit for a long long time. The ultimate survivor. The quintessential long distance runner. What makes Sanjay Dutt click in an industry where everybody gets work and acknowledgement in keeping with one's screen presence and acting qualities? It would not be inapt if one says that Dutt, despite being rubbished for sheer mediocrity during the initial phases of his career, has shown the capability to change. Had he remained an action hero all his life, it is unlikely that he would have managed to stay in the rat race for such a long time. During the first part of his career, he acted in superhits like Naam and Sadak. Naam showcased his potential in a much better way, since he played a bad guy with a good heart who becomes a part of the mafia and eventually loses his life. Naam was significant for one more reason. Kumar Gaurav, who had starred in superflops like Romance and Star after he began his career with Love Story and Teri Kasam, played the role of Dutt's elder brother. In the film, Gaurav played the role of Dutt's responsible and loving elder brother. Dutt hijacked the limelight completely since his character had more shades, and his death towards the end of the film won him the sympathy of the masses. After this film became a hit, Dutt became a big star overnight but Gaurav disappeared from Bollywood's firmament completely. Khalnayak was the one big hit which turned Dutt into the nation's most wanted macho man. The film was typical masala fare, with Dutt wearing bizarre make up and Madhuri Dixit dancing to the tune of Choli Ke Peechey. The film had every thing that the masses wanted: lots of action, ample twists and turns, and hot romance of course. It worked wonders at the box office. But what enabled Sanjay Dutt to prove his capability as a more complete actor was still to come. Saajan was that film. Directed by cameraman-turned-director Lawrence D'Souza, Saajan was a love triangle in which Sanjay Dutt played the role of an adopted son who is elder to Salman Khan. Playing the character of a physically challenged poet, Dutt overshadowed everybody in the film: including the gorgeous Madhuri Dixit. Saajan told the story of a man who could not express his love for a woman because of his handicap. Dutt who played the character watched Salman fall in love with Madhuri, and it was only at the end that Salman played the martyr and Dutt found his love. The storyline was cliched, but Dutt came up with a hugely convincing performance that made the film a huge hit at the box office. It was with Vaastav that Sanjay Dutt established how he could carry a film on his broad shoulders yet again. Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Vaastav provided with a view of the underworld. In the role of a bhai, Dutt excelled and the film was a huge hit at the box office. The Manjrekar-Dutt duo worked again, but with lesser success in Kurukshetra. Pitaah, the story of a labourer's rebelion against zamindari oppression, followed. Pitaah bombed, but the same pair has come together once again in Pratibimb, which is a sequel of Vaastav in which Dutt plays the role of the bhai's son. Dutt has also tried his hand at comedy. But while some haven't worked – like Sanjay Chhel's Khubsoorat – others like David Dhawan's Haseena Man Jayegi and Jodi No. 1 have clicked in a big way. With the passage of time, Dutt has proved that he is good at playing the second fiddle. In Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Mission Kashmir in which he plays Hrithik Roshan's father, he dominated the film despite getting less screen time. In a comedy like Jodi No.1, he let Govinda steal the show but played his role most remarkably. In HKKN, it is Amitabh Bachchan who overshadows everybody but for Dutt who has managed to play his role with admirable ease. Where does Sanjay Dutt go from here? It is clear that he won't become the nation's hottest property at the box office, but what cannot be questioned is his ability to stay alive and do his job with efficiency and dedication. He works hard. He is more flexible than most. He is a natural competitor, and that shows

Just go back to details of how and when and why film producer Sajid Nadiadwala's wife Divya Bharti - an upcoming actress - was killed. Why was dress designer Nita Lulla present in the same room as Sajid when Divya 'supposedly jumped' on her own from the window of her flat? Why was Sajid pissed with his wife before she jumped? Just dig up a lot of these things and you will see a connection as clear as sky. |

Well that's your opinion....I can't argue with that. His longegivty in the industry and amount of box office hits say that he has a huge fan following so the man definitely is doing something right. As far as the terrorist accusation....none of us know what the truth really is. He has never been convicted of being a terrorist(the case is still pending) and till that happens I won't call him that. I don't assume a person is guilty just because he is charged with something. You are welcome to take that leap....

It definitely is my opinion, Chaubees pai... Lots of people do not get convicted but that does not mean that they are innocent... usually happens when such people have situated themselves high enough in the flood of humanity...
