Well U visit the company sites or talk to yr frineds (seniors) and make sure u get an interview!!
Getting an interview is hard.........once u have an interview , u are set!! My experience: I waited 4 months before i got my interview. I postes my resume on the company's website and emailed the person once proving my interest to genuinely work and Learn at the same time. Phone interview, then the main 7 hrs and then offer nex day ......all in a span of a week!! well i call that Luck!! Any wyas jus post yr resume on the company sites and ask yr frns seniors about oppurtunities!! U in US?

Please try some consulting sites
Try these:
http://www.hallkinion.com/ http://www.rhiconsulting.com/ http://www.esmartsource.com/ http://www.inteliant.com/ http://www.sosstaffing.com/ http://www.xoriant.com/ Many a times you may get a break from one of these outsourcing companies. Many times you get a project which is on a Contract-to-Hire basis where you join as a contractor and eventually (after 3 to 6 months) are offered a permanent position. Start your as contractor if you dont get permanent - it will atleast get your "experience meter" running. |

I do not know if this would work for you or not....
I started afresh in a field over here. With a miniscule portfolio I was able to convince a couple of companies to hire me as a trainee with no pay. Something like on probation. Your work should speak for you. If they you are good, they will automatically hire you. Ever since those three simultaneous assignments, I have never looked back. But yes, I had to go through a few months of convincing to get there. But you see, my criteria was never the pay. I just wanted to get in. My game plan was that once I get in, I can etch my way through. All the best!
