Its been 53 years since Independence. Today there are many inherent problems and challenges facing the nation. One such important issue is that of the rupee slipping way below the almighty US dollar.

The RBI steps in every time with some quick measures to curb this slide downhill, but is this a lasting solution? I think not!

A lot needs to be done to strengthen the economy. I invite your views on what is wrong and how we can improve the fiscal health of India.

In simple terms, the Rupees that I have in my pocket, can buy lesser dollars. Hardly of any significance to me. This insignificant matter becomes a nightmare when we see the amount we as a nation have to repay as debt. We cannot pay Rupees. We need to pay dollars. As a result, we need to pay plenty more Rupees back. The way to push Rupee up on the scale is to reduce imports. Other way is to increase exports. We need to go both the ways to make the situation healthy as soon as possible.

Whatever foreign exchange we earn, we end up spending in oil imports. So, we need to save oil. If every one of us contribute towards this, we may see the result on the larger scale. Other thing is to improve the local product quality. This will give a boost to exports and pull down the imports.

One other thing is to destroy Pakistan. They are bringing the fake rupee into Indian market.

Thumbs down

Since i don't have a much idea about economy so my giving views here doesn't makes sense but one thing i would definitely like to say :

Ever since a child I had this cherished desire that our currency should be at par with the currency of the other nations .

I dunno when is this gonna happen but I am still waiting for that day to dawn when with one rupee in your hand u get a couple of dollars.

Is it theoritically possible that it happens if not practically .

Is it somehow possible that the repute which the dollar has for itself right now the same repute the indian rupee makes for itself ie say ONE RUPEE is equivalent to 50 USdollars.

Is the vice versa of the present scene possible atleast theoritically .

I really want my country to be called the golden bird again ie what it was called in it's past .

How painful is this harsh fact to accept that the biggest democracy in the world is also the head office of the biggest BEGGARY .

We the largest population in this world and what do we have to our credit ? Absolutely nothing .

Nowhere in the world we have a place for ourself .

Out of 100 million people no one gets a gold medal in the olympics no one gets a nobel prize very often .Once in a blue moon some one gets it and we imdiately start feeling on top of the world .

We who had the most the most advanced universities in the world in the past (Nalanda and takshilla) today stand no where.

I don't deny that their is a lack of talent in this country but that talent is just slipping away from our clutches to the greener pastures.

Sitting in the PHOREN lands and happily singing patriotic and homely songs is very easy but to sing the same songs here is rather very difficult :

it's very easy to say when u r in the states that :

" London dekha paris dekha aur dekha japaan
Saarey jug mei aur naheen hai doosraa hindustaan "

Saarey jag mei doosra englistaan bhee toh naheen hai

"It happens only in india"
and a whole bunch of new songs which have been shown in th e recent movies .

Sitting and discussing these issues here is absolutely off no use as we all are aware of the deficiencies in us in our country but we are just too lazy to offer any solution .

At the most we can do is sit and gossip and criticise ie what I feel is we are doing here right now .

When will we ever let our actions speak for our words.
We are all just man of wrds .We can only bark we can nevr bite .

The truth is that we have accepted our present state and we have adjusted with it and we just don't want to take any initiative .Our souls need to be mended.

We need a cobbler to mend our SOULS

We all want to see our country at the zenith but at the same time we are all waiting for a miracle to happen and then enjoy the results and that is nevr gonna happen by just doing charcha here.

But what else can we do except this and I am no exception to this rule .

And why shud a cobbler suddenly sprung up from somewhere when it's much easier for him to get a new soul in the phoren lands rather then to mend the souls here.

Then we console ourself by sayig that [paissaa he sub kuch naheen hotaa mun kee shantee is something which counts and which is what we have in abundance as we have done a settlement with our failures

We have devloped an attitude where we feel more then satisfied by just boasting our about our past .

And even I have started feeling that why shud I bother about omproving muy country when on the contrary I can get an improved country for myself by peanuts of efforts on my part.

Even i 'l be doing the same thing now that is going to some phoren land and then coming to india for a short tour and singing :
"it happens only in india jahaan paaon mei payaal haath mei kangan ho maathey pe bindyaa"

"london dekha paris dekha aur dekha japaan saarey jag mei aur naheen hai doosra hindustaan"

Hum toh chaley pardes bhaiyaa pardesi ho gaye
