Questions..

a) If Shiva created himself as a Child.. Why is there no literature.. or atleast I haven't come across any.. Why is that we don't pray His Child form? (Normally.. for other deities.. we worship them in their diff forms/stages)- I think somebody else has asked this.. but why did he create himself as a child and not an adult..

b) If Shiva represents the union of male/female.. Why is that most of yogis.. shivbhakts practice celibacy??

c) And Why is that we are so prude as a religion/country when our Gods were anything but that!

d) Normally.. when we read about avtaars.. that form is almost similar to the parent form .. but Why was Hanuman so different from Shiva?! Oh and please tell us the story as well.. the reason behind the Hanumaan avataar

e) Why is that we hardly worship the second son..kartikey (karthik) ?

f) If Music and Dance were considered Haraam since "Mohini"(Vishnu's avtaar) days.. Why did Shiva dance when Sati died.. Was He a rebel?

Music, Dance and other art forms are/were not universally haraam.

They are haraam for those whose demonic side is more predominant compared to the humane one. A true music lover, for e.g., cannot force himself one-sided-ly on a lady without her willingness.

I can appreciate appeal of mythology to story buff's ... not a problem. Why do I get this feeling that some of you actually 'believe' in authenticity of this stuff ... that you believe in existence of ever-present infinitely eternal Gods?

Swamiji ... ridicule in spirit of fun can be misinterpreted and discouraging ... I understand. Do me a favor ... serious ... share in PM if not open ... your experience as described in couple of posts here. I can use some inspiration ... reasons behind strong faith ... not necessarily miracles. Please. Serious.

Sir.. You are an evolved..courageous and an enlightened soul..!! We aint..! We need somebody to blame when things go wrong.. We don't have the courage to accept that it may be our actions that would have caused agony.. No.. There is someone up there who is angry.. maybe .. we did sthg wrong.. maybe.. we worshipped d wrong God on a wrong Day..

We also need somebody to Thank when things go as we wanted.. obviously.. it'z not just coz of my efforts and hard work.. c'mon.. u must be kidding.. I aint THAT good..!! It's coz I worshipped the right God on the right Day!!!

Why did Bholey run? To save himself? Or to save the entire creation? He is not just responsible for himself but the creation too. So he must save himself.

Vishnu came to the rescue. He took the avatar of a beauiful woman called Mohini. Bhasmasur saw Mohini and was totally lattu over her [who wouldnt have?].

Mohini asked him to dance with her matching her steps. He gladly agreed.

After dancing for considerable time, as one of the dance postures, Mohini placed her hand on her head. Bhasmasur did the same. And his own granted wish came true on himself.

Mahadev was saved and so was Trilok.

Everyone should now know why dance and music are considered haraam. They make one lose the focus of the target.

can you tell us why shiv is superior to vishnu ??

why Shiva is superior to Vishnu? Isn't it that Shiva created Vishnu?

Shiva does not create... he only destroys.
