One night at the airport...
Its been close to a decade since that night in London airport. I was heading towards another city in Europe. Apparently there was a snow storm and all fights were postponed for 6 hours. 6 LONG hours. It was when I was thinking what to do for 6 hours (I already slept through my journey from India) I had first seen him.
He started walking towards me and I smiled (no idea why I smiled). Apparently he is Tamil too and he overheard me talking to my friend that I would be late reaching my destination. Since he was one of those Tamil speaking guys we quickly made friends and started talking. By the end of 6th hour I was almost sorry that 6 hours were up. Reluctantly we hugged good bye but still kept in touch. When he proposed after 6 years since we met, I hadn't seen him since that night in London. I had my doubts and said no; people change in 6 years right? That's when he slowly started distancing himself and yesterday, out of the blue he emailed me with a good news that his wife is expecting a baby in Dec!! What are the odds?! I am very happy for him. Ever been in interesting situations like this? P.S: yeah yeah...a boring day here at work. |

Re: One night at the airport...
Airports and long flights have been taken advantage of by Bollywood in so many ways ... DCH, KKHH, etc ...

I agree that long flights (and snow storms) can really get interesting. Was there a flight scene in KKHH? Quote:

Re: One night at the airport...
She was an Anglo Indian and was sitting in the window seat and I was in the aisle seat in the middle row. There was some aura about her when she came in. I usually do not talk with anyone in the plane and I did rather just get lost in all the movies that On demand has to offer. But that time I wanted to talk to her. But how? there is this guy sitting in between .
After food I get the chance . The old dude asks me if he wants to switch places . My whole row is empty and I exchange seats. It was a fun 6 hrs after that. We even had breakfast at Amsterdam airport before we parted . ![]() The End .

Re: One night at the airport...
Honest to God, I have bumped into Shilpa Shirodkar. I have never reavealed this but I managed to say hello and she said hello too and smiled that special smile that enthralls folks like me.
Nothing special happened but that one chance meeting kept me wondering about how her life would be, etc. Shit she married some asshole in UK. Fuck him ![]() |

Fuck ... stupid female... now she is back in India trying a hand at a second career. Maybe husband got bored of her. ... They say that you should not marry some you love but someone who loves you. She forgot such a basic tenet of love and life .... ![]() And fuck you Gajodhar! ![]() |

Re: One night at the airport...
When I was home last time, my kaka (dad's elder brother) asked me to accompany his best friends daughter who was planning to study medicine in US. I had met this person(name: Tanaya) when I was a kid and she looked nothing but kam valli (servant) and a nerd then. So I prepared myself for one boring and long flight.
We were supposed to meet at my kaka's house and then travel to Mumbai airport together. After waiting for 2 hours and getting anxious about missing my flight, my dad stepped in and said enough wait time and we started our journey towards the airport. After almost reaching the airport, we got a call from Tanaya's dad requesting me to make sure that the plane did not leave without her. I was like WTF.... ![]() After checking in, I decided to call mom from the airport itself when I was informed that Tanaya has just arrived and is checking in. Her dad spoke with me, requesting to accompany her and take care of her (Red alert...dady's girl + nerd + bhenjee = one lOOOONNNGGG flight ). After about an hour, saw a bhenjeee walking towards me and my horrors were confirmed. I stood up and went to her calling her name, but she refused to utter a word and took a seat next to me. I played along and took my seat and pretended to be bussy reading some magazine. Just when I merged all the courage to recommend Tanaya that we should proceed towards the boarding area, a girl was calling my name and looking around. I stood up and went to her only to realize that she was Tanaya. She was nothing like I had expected. And my most memorable journey began from Mumbai to Atlanta God bless my kaka ![]()
