Why echans need dupes?

I know, people here are real and a great majority of them are tatya tope ke potey hain.

But on a forum, all are usernames. They wish and keep their identity undisclosed.

So why a username would need a dupe? What is the purpose?

Your whole argument is based on the premise that there are dupes. Remove this assumption and where do you stand

Having a virtual persona has opened a lot of possibilities for individuals. The freedom of being anonymous allows individuals to become anyone and anything that they are not in real life.

Dupes let them do that . You can be anything. A nice guy, bad boy, freak, attention whore, yogi , well-endowed etc etc ..

Well if you take these dupes seriously then you need help but otherwise it is just a way to escape from reality .

chaiwala , first you need to decide which id i dupe and which is original ? can we even classify like that ? .

trying to classify IDs as orig or dupes is a highly error-prone exercise, so what i think is, jai silent pai, we should not go on that road

I guess the important question is how to make sure that the overlap between id's be kept minimal . Is there any efficient system out there ?

If I understand what you are saying correctly, you want to minimize the number of dupe ids, right?

During registration, you could verify that the email id given for registration is not already being used. But then, one can easily circumvent that requirement by using a different email id for registration. Because of the ubiquity of free email service providers, this would be very easy.

If you are really serious, you could insist that for registration on the site, one must use work email id or school email id or a non-free email service provider. That way you forbid people from using free email service providers like Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail. This method would, for sure, reduce the number of dupe ids.

Bai thee waiy, I am alsho a dupee of the collective wisdom of the foolish and the collective foolishness of the wise.....errrr.....grrrrrr....WTF was that??? wheatever-ish it was....

but not so long ago in time, also in the present and in future.....we are all a dupe of the one or the other....rarely people come with original ideas...you naat knoiw why? I cannaat taell you wHUai? But may most of the are the Ghajni syndrome types tackling issues and dish-issues....
