Piranha 3D

This is the usual kind of movie that the public is used to seeing since the pathbreaking JAWS ,and its sequels.

There is the usual situation--a holiday destination beside a lake that is going to be attacked by critters from the deep ,and the usual delays in closing the lake as it would affect tourism ( until it is too late to save a few lives ).

A good looking female sheriff has to do the job of saving the distressed in the face of all odds , and a good looking young guy has to save his girl.....

......And not to forget ,some booby babes are there holidaying and dancing on boats and showing off their flesh in bikinis......

The difference here is that instead of sharks it is piranhas .......now arent they supposed to inhabit the amazon river instead of north america ??........oh they are a 2 million year old species whose long trapped eggs got released in an earthquake blah blah blah......

The fun is in watching the movie in 3D.......the bootylicious babes seem to come closer to you ......so do the shots of the piranhas eating them ( aah....I wish I was a piranha )

Some of the shots are really gory......like the one of a girl being carried after a piranha attack ,and her body breaking into two pieces .......or the one of a man whose lower half has been eaten by piranhas ,and he shouting '' they took my penis ,they took my penis !! ''( now dont go to watch the movie for this shot !!)

At the end of the movie we come to know that the piranhas we just saw are just babies...... now weren't they bad enough ??

But where are their parents ??.......watch that in part 2

Re: Piranha 3D

I saw this movie in theater . First of all there is no 3D in the movie . They just took 5 $ extra just because the title had 3D . only the trailers shown had 3D content . So without the 3D there is nothing really different about the movie . Its just piranha eating people and hot bods , male and female

And the point where the Piranha eats the penis only to vomit it out is supposed to be funny . And even that wasnt in 3D only the glasses made it appear bigger ..

that shot was probably censored in india.

i am talking about the shot in which the man is dragged out of the water ,and his lower limbs are shown having been eaten by piranhas ,and shouts '' they took my penis ,they took my penis ''

and come on ,the 3D wasnt so bad.......

Re: Piranha 3D

I work with VR systems all the time . Hence I guess for me it was very lacking in depth .

Re: Piranha 3D

Long ago I had seen Chota Chetan and one more movie in 3D in India. At that time itself I had a headache wearing those glasses.

Also some friends who have seen a couple of 3D movies here say that you start getting a headache after a while. Secondly many movies are just converted into 3D and never shot using real 3D equipment.

I dont know about others but I will not try 3D movies.

Re: Piranha 3D

I have seen the original version of Piranha long ago on VHS back in India. It was enough for me. So no more gore and that too in 3D.

Echpari pai, I was of the same opinion. I used to be miserable watching 3D movies of yore... but recently watched one and tada... no problems. The print was crisp with good depth and the glasses were comfortable. Try watching a post-Avatar 3D movie... they are much better. I think there is a specific name for it... like True-3D or something.

There was a site which has the name of the recently released as well as upcoming 3D movies and it lists whether it was shot on real 3D equipment or 3D was added in post production.

sony has come out with a TV which has 3D.........converts ordinary images into 3D.

Reminds me of the old days when actress rekha's husband mukesh agarwal had come with hotline brand of 3D TVs ,way back in the 80s.

But the TV bombed and Rekha's husband commited suicide .....though for entirely different reasons.

Re: Piranha 3D

i have watched bavarian porn on 3d tv,which was actually shot with 3d experiences..it was an out of the world experience....i am really saving up to buy a 3d tv but i will wait till some 3d ready channels come up in India.I would love to watch tennis, football and cricket in 3d.

The negative aspect of 3d tvs is thsat each goggle costs 8k rupees. And we Indians watch tv with entire family of 5-6 log.so there is no point in buying goggles worth 40k and tv worth 100K
