What you are talking about is great western pole trick... There is not much secret to that one... Ask Gayaguzra pai...he has been to many pole tricksters....
Great Indian Rope Trick or GIRT is an ancient practice of disappearing into middle earth/world/paatal lok with the help of a rope.

Ingredients needed:

Rope : 1, should be thick, length should be around 100 mtr.(metric)

Been: 1, Been is that gourd flute or the thing saperas play to arouse snakes. Plenty to be found in your Rajasthan.

Knife: 1, small handle, wide blade.

And a kid of around 10 years of age, emaciated, dumb, and doesnt mind to be played around with.

Method:

Put a simple knot at one end of the rope. Play been till rpe starts rising...keep playing... keep on playing... a little more... till the knotted end of rope is not visible...
Now tell the kid to climb... then call that kid back... he would not come back.. take the knife... utter some maa-behan(Ask Viking pai, He's been dealing in it for long now)... climb the rope... come down... public taali bajaaoing... kid climbing down.... public clapping more hardly... send the bandar to collect money...

Khel khatam...paisa hajam... bachcha log bajaao taali.

It actually is a universal trick with many variations. The woman climbing you mention is a special case; in some variations the been bajayoing is left to boom box and person performing the trick adopts the ancient Sarpasan position to do the zadoo. Then there are other varations with respect to the role of the woman in the trick; in one case the woman is substitued by man; and the other is a shortcut where neither man or woman is needed however presence of a snakecharmer makes the trick magical.

Looks like this guy Ishamuddin was able to perform a part of TGIRT...
And before someone comes and says that it took a muslim to revive a hindu trick... lemme roll my eyes and say "Muslim were always known as tricksters".
