American Idol 2010 is so boring

I just turned on the TV tonight and as I type this, American Idol is going on. Its the Top 10 folks singing R&B songs and have been coached by Usher.

I have not followed this season. I got turned off when Ellen De generes became the judge. She is boring and has no fun value like Paula Abdul had. Paula was a very stupid and confused judge but that added to the fun.

That other bitch Kara DioGaaardi whatever her name turns me off by making so many lip and mouth movements as if she is mouthing every word to the deaf viewers. Never liked her before, dont like her now.

Simon seemed quite subdued and quiet. I used to watch the show only to see Simon tear one more asshole to all the stupid contenstants!

I have just switched off the channel and have decided to watch Sony TV. Why? At least our desi serials are stupid from the outset and predictable and yet provide a kind of 'twisted' humor!

1. Miss Ms.Paula Abdul.

2. Kara G tries to ape Paula but fails miserably. She doesnt know how to judge or say the right thing. Tries to be very cutie but is not at all cute. Tries to pout her lips. If she leaves the show nobody will miss her.

3. Ellen, is ok not bad atleast she is being herself.

4. Simon is dragging himself on the show. Seems like he is now bored of being a judge over there.

Wasnt he supposed to quit after season 7 itself.

If he leaves the show will end. Participants are also getting very very very boring

Pardon my ignorance but isn't TV in general getting boring these days? Except "Lost" and "24" (these too I prefer watching on DVDs for continuity) there is nothing interesting on TV these days. We have to fall-back to usual old comedy stuff like family guy and Seinfeld.

Nothing is different on indian channels either except Sony which show old CID which is watchable and comedy circus which is funny sometimes.

SS, that was one of the reasons we got rid of cable altogether. Any channel you tune into is pretty much giving away garbage. I used to love HBO but you have to get standard digital cable for that and it doesn't make sense paying 70 bucks just for HBO. Right now, all I have is Netflix. I spend some time going through reviews and see if there is anything out there that people think is watchable. I just queue the DVDs up and whenever they arrive, they arrive. I just watch them when I get a chance. Rest of the time, I just stick to network TV. Leno, local news and PBS Don't think I will ever subscribe to Indian programming

If you have Netflix, I'd recommend adding Mad Men and Breaking Bad to your queue. Both are really well-made (television drama).

There are some current shows like Modern Family , Big Bang Theory , true Blood that are good , but overall yeah there is no great content lately ..

Yes I have Netflix..Infact I watch netflix / Hulu / Youtube most of the time. When I switch on cable TV, most of the time goes into flipping channels and then switching it off

I have a DVD with netflix instant ready device. Pretty good quality. Only thing very few good movies are streamed. Most of them are indie films which are so poorly made.

Hindi films are available on netflix instant as well. Like wake up sid, chance pe dance, kurbaan, delhi6 etc. Good free entertainment!

TV otherwise is very very boring. Hindi channels and Masala(urdu/pak) channels not much difference cause I see people saying inshallah/kudha afij etc on both.

Pratikshaji, what do you mean by 'poorly made' films? Poorly as in budget? They are Indie to begin with coz they dont have the money to produce a commercial extravaganza There are some really good ones in the Foreign Independent section on Netflix, check'em out. I saw an Arabic/English movie 'Amreeka' last week on Netflix Streaming, liked it. Then there is a plethora of French and Spanish films which are pretty good as well.

Fuck .. its so boring. But since Shakira has come today, maybe I will wait till she shakes her hips....

reality tv doesnt impress me.The talent is always overshadowed by drama and tears.By the next season,the winner of the previous season is forgotten.Just like jaipai sitcoms ftw.
