May be its personal and kind of company you are with? Work related formal and informal rush hour lunch or dinners doesn't matter.

But ... to me it will ... if this was formal or informal leisurely lunch or dinner with one on one ... or between two couples out to enjoy.

This is how I will look at your cutlery habits ... I know you are right handed. You have fork in left hand to hold the meat ... you use right hand to cut the meat with knife ...now you place knife back somewhere in the plate and very casually transfer fork to your right hand to pick up the food and put it in your mouth. Here is the message you are sending me ... you are not in a rush ... you are enjoying my company ... you are enjoying the food but not starving either.

This reminds me of that time... I used to live in a second-floor apartment where the stairs right after you unlocked the front door. I was going back home for lunch... walked up to the door, tried the key and I could not turn it. So, absent-mindedly I turned the door-knob and the door opened. With my head down walked up the stairs and as soon as I stepped into the living room saw that everything was different. Got the shock of my life... and for some time wondered what has happened. Then realized it was somebody else's apartment... and luckily nobody seemed to be about. Quietly ran down the stairs and out the door... closing it softly behind me. And ran over to my door.

Instead of dropping my son off to school and then driving to office I took my son along with me, till I reached the freeway and my son started screaming "mommy you need to drop me off to school". I had worked late the earlier night and was a little groggy that morning.

Ven I got back from India, I took a taxi from SFO airport. The driver helped me load the luggage in the hold and I went on to open the driver's side door (forgetting that in US front passenger seat happens to be on the right side). The taxi driver promptly handed me the key and asked me "you want to drive?".
