Something else..!!!!!!Muslim Brahmin who loves Ganesha

Aaaaaaahhh... so much of that religion/brahmin/caste thing again on eCharcha..let us read some good stuff...something abt harmony..

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/a..._id=1906707520

VADODARA: Sanskrit shlokas flow freely from the lips of Abdulrashid Ismael Sheik. And his love for Lord Ganesha and other gods and goddesses of the Hindu pantheon is quite well known in the city.

Regarded a scholar in Hindu religion and philosophy and widely accepted as a 'Brahmin' by virtue, Abdulrashid Ismael Sheikh is now even called upon to perform the Hindu funeral rites, something that only a chaste Brahmin with specialised knowledge is allowed to do.

Sheikh is a man much in demand among the devout. If he is not seen at the temple near Kevda Baug where he stays, devotees send a man to fetch him. Other temples in city also invite Abdulrashid to 'satsang' and to give discourses on Hindu religion. For last 30 years Sheikh has been performing the Ganpati Sthapna Pooja at M S University's Faculty of Technology and Engineering. The tradition continued on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi this Wednesday.

Big-G,

This Mussalman, loved Hindu Mythology. He started talking around. Was initially rebuffed, but persisted. Slowly accepted. Started adding 'value', by :

i) making stories more entertaining
ii) Relating stories to everyday experiences
iii) Relating stories to political antics, (humor)

At each time, his power grew. Finally he was accepted - a Musallman!!! No slogans, no special rights, nothing. Just like that.

Why cannot other sections change themselves??

Shring

Cuz they are pig headed. they dont wanna change!..they want others to change and always be adjustive to accomodate themselves. They wont change one frekin bit. Some people just cannot learn to co-exist!

Dhurandhar Bhat is on a distinguished road
business.

well I knew brahminism is a disease it goes into the genes as well..
what can I say about this genetic disorder.
Anyway you can't prove rules by quoting exceptions.

However one thing I'll like to know whether this gentleman still continues to be a muslim.Because that will be disastrous for all the rituals he has performed..shivsainiks will have to purify all such things by him with ganga jal and cow urine!!!!

Yaar Shring, jabhi bhi koi khaali dabba dikhtha hai, tho Hyde Park style khade ho ke bhaashan dena shuru karthey ho!

Check these links. Obviously you have NOT been paying attention to the posts.

http://echarcha.com/forum/showthread...0&pagenumber=4

To elaborate, I myself have more Ganesha's in my house than most Hindus. My wife and I both believe in Ganesha.

That does not make us lesser Muslims. Just strengthens our faith in a higher power.

Rahi baath about your 'theory', hey its yours. It is NOT necessary for all to subscribe to right?

Huh? I read the article but found nothing reffering to making stories entertaining etc. Is this something you read elsewhere or your own fertile imagination??
