Thumbs down The road to hell is paved with good intentions!

The road to hell is paved with good intentions!

Who says that India has a rule of law and order? Isn't it time for us to call a spade a spade? ANARCHY has become the norm. India is a lawless society and Indians can only pray for the 'goodness of mankind' for personal protection.

It is clearly the government's fault. The government is the real parasite. The government (elected officials, as well as institutions - police force, judiciaries, railways, etc etc) has completely abdigated it's responsibility of protecting it's people. They are inept and inefficient. Forget about what they did PRIOR to the blasts. Look at how they handle the situation AFTER the blasts. Do you see any leadership? any definitive response? Do you see anyone capable of measuring up to this gargantuan task at hand? It looks like the officials are also watching the news on TV and commenting upon it like the rest of us (while concealing facts about the real perpetrator!!). The disaster recovery strategy is lamentable.

Our national security is in shambles. India is infested with terrorists. Kashmir is being Islamized. Our constitution is being thrown into the gutter. Yet, we are expected to maintain communal harmony. Eventually, frustrated citizenry will take matters into their own hands and then hell will break loose. Patience has it's limits. Communal harmony is coming at the cost of Hindu lives.

The financial security of the nation is in serious jeopardy. Our trade and fiscal deficit is spiralling out of control. Inflation is hitting through the roof. Our national reserves are being squandered over futile expenses like oil subsidies, loan waivers, minority appeasement schemes, pay increments, etc - good intentions but piss poor economics. Consider this - the government's annual interest payments are twice that of it's annual income tax collections. On one hand, the government doesn't have the financial bandwidth to fund programs to upgrade our national security or to enhance our police forces. On the other hand, the terrorists are getting tech savvy and better organized. It has become glaringly obvious that the terrorists can bomb the country at will and our administration cannot do anything to stop them. They are winning. We are losing. The score is 3-0 (Jaipur, Bangalore, Ahmedabad). Somebody somewhere is basking in victory. Who are they? We are too afraid to name names and point fingers.

There is complete lack of vision and leadership at all levels of government. Quotas, and fixed promotion have fostered a culture of lethargy and entitlement amongst the government serpents. There is absolutely no incentive to work hard. There are no penalties and no rewards for their work.

Whether it's health, energy, food and water, agriculture - there is doom and gloom everywhere. Who do you think is responsible? Is it the terrorists or our inept administrative institutions?

The media seems fixated on peddling a rosy-colored image of India. Where are those schmucks / analysts who wrote about how India will become a developed country and take over US by 2020 (or something of that sort)? Where are all those Mutual fund managers, ministers and academics now, who pummeled the media with their ivory tower predictions about the 'India growth story'? A true democracy needs a vibrant and independent media. Unfortunately, our Indian english media look like paid stooges of western powers, who don't address the real problems confronting the country, but 'sell' the headlines for a profit. Make no mistake - all news is doctored. You see what 'they' want you to see.

The country lacks the rudiments/foundations of a developed society - law and order, infrastructure, healthcare, food/water, etc. The government's power lies in dealing crushing blows to it's citizens and creating in-fighting amongst the populace.

To Indians living in India - you are living in a society ruled by ANARCHY!! Terrorists and hooligans are thriving, while people relying on government protection (mostly Hindu middle-class) are dying in futility. You are the ones being squeezed for taxes. You are the one being made to work endless hours to support your family. Yet, you are the one being persecuted for your faith, inspite of being in a majority. You are the one lying on the street in a pool of blood with your head blown to pieces. Make no mistake - YOU ARE BEING TARGETTED!

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Because not being afraid is going to lull you back into complacency and take away the rage to do something. The threat is real. Sharpen your claws and hone your defenses. It's each man on his own - survival of the fittest.

I have a feelings (too) ... this is one of those days when fingers did all the thinking for you.

HarHarbhai ... here we go again. Its easy for people like you to blame Indian government, washing hands of a major issue where responsibility clearly lies in your own hands. Government is doing what it can under/given the circumstances. PM Mohan Singh as well as President Pratibha Patel have issued the statements sympathising with the victims ... requesting all and sundry to remain calm. You're impatient by nature ... wait few hours and Congress President Madam Sonia Gandhi and her soon to be leader son Rajiv Gandhi too will issue ... statements.

Its no easy task for Indian government and Indian politicians to issue statements of sympathy. It takes courage ... raw courage. In a secular nation a government and a politician cannot appear to be sympathising with a people of singular/particular faith ... more so those whose votes don't count.

A great man once said ... Ask not what government can do for you but what have you done for the government. HarHarbhai ... who did you vote for? Reading in to tone of your article ... you did not vote for the Congress, Communists, nor the Leftists. You voted for the opposition and now cry and beg for protection! Do you see the irony of it? What right do you have to question or beg Indian government to help you find a job, freedom to practice religion, or protection? You haven't earned the right.

But, if you were to ask those who voted for the Congress, Communists, Leftists ... happy ... very very happy ... as happy as happy goes. They are being given priority in jobs, practice religion when and where they feel like doing it, and are being very well protected. Charity begins at home ... Indian government and politicians must take care of own before venturing farther to protect non-supporters.

This is so sad ... its due to people like you that Indian politicians have to resort to importing supporters and voters from the nearby countries.
