A Bag Full of Emotional Investments ...

you will keep on emotionally investing urself in ... Desibaba.

He doesn't talk much but when he does ... bloody idiot touches raw nerves. He is one of the few members whose one line gives you a glimpse inside the depth of a soul of a man. I can tell ... when he is sad ... when he is depressed ... when he is in the best of the elements and when he ought to go fix himself a drink and get drunk. Few words is all he needs ...

you will keep on emotionally investing urself in ...

So its not about buying a car ... a home or a carvan ... its not about meeting people perse ... its not about father, mother, brothers or sisters, not about falling in love with women, people and the places. This is about investing your emotions. This is not about people or things material ... this is about our investments and a luggage full of emotional attachments we carry with us all our lives. Our investments!

Your luck holds ... hope and pray.

Hope and pray ... your luck holds up well.

Too many people find themselves holding an empty bag which was once full of hopes, dreams, and relationships. Something similar must happened to the young man in the US ... one who committed suicide

you will keep on emotionally investing urself in ...

Fuck you ... Desibaba. Be careful of what you write ... mah man ...

Dhurendherbhai ... what you say? You do try to impress us with your lack of emotional attachments.

Carry an empty suitcase all life? Is it even possible ...

I don't carry any suitcase. I came with empty closed fists and will likely leave with empty open palms

Emptiness? Or Fullness? or Nothingness?

Life? What it is? Everything of them or None of the above?

Life is just a set of sensations experienced between two events, namely the birth and the death

Re: A Bag Full of Emotional Investments ...

Kind of thread Landya would love on Serious note is lack of emotions inhuman ? Do you need to have emotions ? Else you would be called a man with empty suitcase ? Or more practical ? What is the threshhold of emotions ? Who decides ?

All humans are emotional...but most carry the burden of their emotions associated with past events

And Desibaba's quote above doesn't apply to you? You are immune ... sirji?

And you never had to wear whole lot of rafts of hats ... a parent's, a father's, a friend's, a child's, a brother's, an uncle's, a godparent's (?), a nephew's, a cousin's, a boss's, a work associate's, a co-worker's, a lover's, a husband's (four times, so said you) ... hole rafts of hats. Those are the hats ... right? You never wore them? Of course you did and and you continue to wear those bloody hates ... will wear them for as long as you live ... each hats changes your state of emotions. So ... what do you do with those hats? Cluttering your suitcase ... for sure.

And for sanity's sake ... no saintly Baba Ramadassa bullshit.

Re: A Bag Full of Emotional Investments ...

Ok ... for the uninitiated among us ... before this thread enters the realms of archives.

A member ... good, valued, and beloved to us all ... on a temporary visa status in a land far away from home ... wished to buy a dog for very personal reasons or purposes.

Desibaba admonished the animal lover ... you will keep on emotionally investing urself but immigration department gives no shit ... they don't give no fucking shit for your emotions and attachments!

Desibaba's few words are an abstract opening up a long chapter enough to form a volume of books. No living human ... child or an adult ... living or dying ... can ever deny efficacy of Desibaba's words. Abstract ... definitive ... and absolute ... in every sense of word ... including metaphysical.

That's it ... about it.
