Stories & Parables: Share their message & insights here!

Hello Noble Echarchans!

I bring you greetings from our own inner world, our own awareness ...

It has been with me quite a number of times ... I was looking for something, I found something else ... I was about to do something, I did something else, I was expecting something and I got a lot more than that ...

I dont know where these happen and how these things happen ... But I usually get reminded of something that I had read ... and see something that is happening before very own eyes ...

For example, "I found myself almost boiling with anger, as I read one of the member's post ... I am reading word after words, and I can see there is a sudden rush ... I see blood ... I see red ... I see my nerves tightening ... I see my fingers twitching ... Before I can acknowledge my state of affairs, my mind has already started scheming about the ways I should react .... It has already thought about a number of reactions already and the worst part is that none of those are that satisfying ... You are still churning the wheels of your mind to come up with a better revenge ... and there is where I stop to see myself and the moment I stopped to see myself ... it's all gone ... I am looking where it has gone ... it was all mine ... all the hardwork .. all the blood has rested back in their veins ... where is it? and then suddenly it occurs that storm has already left and what is left are some torn leaves ... and then you laugh at your stupidity ...

I am sure this must have happened to everyone of you a number of times ... You get reminded of something that fits so well in your current predicament, that before you get absorbed in it and become it, you have just stepped out of that whirlpool ...

I attribute these to the wisdom contained in the earthly parables and simple stories from so many traditions ...

"We can remember them easily and see them reflected in the events of our everyday lives ... As we come to know and understand the characters in each story we can see their sorrows and their joys as mirrors of our own. Slowly, we begin to unravel all the inner "shoulds" and "shouldnts" that have governed us up to now. And once we have freed ourselves of this burden we discover the open inner space that is the soil where real transformation takes root and grows ...

We have to remember that the words are just indicators toward the larger message and insight contained in the corresponding story or parable. Even seemingly "negative words point the way to a hidden potential for transformation and greater understanding
cited from Osho's discourses"

Let's share & learn ...

Landya......you write about anger upon reading some members post...Why? Some how anger don't touch me...I do get disappointed or sad but never angry.I don't know why some people get angry? It never helps but harms in great way...to self and to people around you.

Not every time that I fully understand you but I love to read you...it is always an attempt to precisely unfold inner deep Landya.

That is nothing to be proud of...you are living in so deep an abyss of helplessness and stupidity that you can't even be angry anymore

Now you know...you need help and treatment

hahahaha here we go again ... another round begins. Dhurendherbhai ... you're not the problem ... you just don't understand people who like to live life fair and philosophical. You are alone ... everyone who tries ... ends up with full of admiration for Landyabhai.

Few hundred years ago ... Landyabhai would have been sitting under the pipul tree ... lecturing hundred boys like you. Only if you tried harder ...

I replied to Slurpy Tai...not LandYA...so you need to insure that you have your dose of caffeine before logging on to ec

No, LandYA would have been cutting up fingers of those who type against him...a la Angulimaal....but now he is doing the same thing...he is a MODERATOR!

Cut it out. Cut it out. I smell blood. I see blood.
Don't sell out! Don't give out!
It makes me feel sick when it gets thick.
Can't you feel the pressure?
Can you tell the pleasure?

Now, who can tell me what is this all about.
I'm kinda confused, can't figure it out.

Re: Stories & Parables: Share their message & insights here!

A foreign ambassador asked a barbarian lord why he was so rude and cruel to everyone around him. A far better strategy was to use cunning and guile than crude force and so the diplomat advised the King.

The King replied that his countless wars barely left him time for subtle statecraft. So why waste time with niceties and sensitives when he could get across the same point in less than a minute by having a man executed?
