US president and the people who elected him made fool of themselves, first by invading Iraq and second by not being able to get out of the mess they created.
Now they want to justify the act somehow - if only they could agree among themselves   If they didn't invade Iraq and spent their energy on countering Taliban/Osama/Islamic terrorism instead, they would have won sympathizers even among majority of muslim public today, not to speak of the rest of the world.
