Saw the marathin show in TV yesterday Started at 7:30 Pm and ended at 12:15 AM - all for ads. The actual show was edited quite a bit.

It was a bit disappointing when KJ came as the achor. Even more when Hakla walked in to support him and started his usual antics. He made a promise not to imitate Big B again! Hopefully he lives up to thus. He also took some jabs at Aamir Khan.

One enlightenment that came was that if you want to make it to the podium then sponsor the show. All wierd names walked in to give away awards (they were all from the show sponsors). Thus ensuring that i avoid anything from Elder Pharmaceuticals.

The most heartening part was KJ / Hakla not winning a single award.
RDB/ LRMB and Omkara ruled the roost with Dhoom II getting Chikna his award and also winning some tech awards.

The most delightful part i found was those leggy dancers from Shiamak Davar troupe. They towered over all the heroines who performed including Bipasha Basu who's no shorty.

How come there is no coverage of this in any of the desi online news websites? Not even in TOIlet website? I see Oscars everwhere, but no filmfare.

I watched parts of it last night on SET...

Some of the winners come, take the trophy and run away from the stage..the announcer is like...please say something..and the winner is shaking his/her head and running away!! Thats pretty crazy!

Also...I find it really irritating that they keep playing songs from the 60s and 70s...okay man! Some nostalgia is ok..but not all the time!!! who the fck produces these shows? an old geezer?

And then they felicitate all dead fcuks...e.g Smitha Patil...arre yaar! Try to encourage new talent than to try to gadofy murdas!!!
