MI3 - Not the best Mission Impossible yet!!

The MI3 promos for the DVD release tout 'The Best Mission Impossible Yet'

I rented this movie. I was disappointed. For one, the movie was very predictable. In the first one, it took Ethan Hunt some time to realise that John Voight is the villain. There was some suspense and drama. The latest version has only special effects, but not as innovative or thrilling like the famous scene where Ethan Hunt is suspended just inches above the floor by ropes.

Here, the effects are so fast and quick that they dont even register. The story is again a non-story. Okay, such movies are in the Jams Bond genre, but even James has some explanation for what he is doing and what the whole plot is about.

Well, those who are fans, go and rent the DVD, but for me it was like expecting a nice chocolate cake and getting a simple muffin instead.

That Seymour Hoffman guy is wasted as he only kicks and beats up Tom Cruise and asks for some Rabbit's Foot endlessly.

In Bond movies, we are always told what a secret weapon or secret plan is. Here we are left guessing what this damned Rabbit's foot is and are never told even after the credits roll.

Anyway, so so movie. My rating 2 stars out of 5.

Me too - I loved this movie.. It was really awesome to watch on the big screen @ home..
