Angry Israel launches satellite to spy on Iran

Reverse Counting for Iran started from here now . ..

AFP via Yahoo! News Tue, 25 Apr 2006 12:22 PM PDT
Israel put a new spy satellite into service from Russia which will increase the levels of surveillance of Iran's nuclear programme.

The satellite was launched from a military space launch site in Russia's far eastern Amur region aboard a Topol solid-fuel rocket booster, the ITAR-TASS news agency said, quoting a spokesman for the facility, Alexei Kuznetsov.

In a brief item posted on its website, the Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot quoted an unnamed defence official as saying the satellite would be used to spy on Iran's nuclear activities.

ITAR-TASS said the satellite is fitted with a powerful camera "which will permit Israeli intelligence to observe important Iranian targets in the most minute detail."

The D33 Eros B1 satellite was successfully placed into orbit about 20 minutes after its launch, the agency said.

The satellite was launched by ImageSat, a company that is part-owned by state-run Israel Aircraft Industries.

ImageSat said the 280 kilogramme (616 pound) satellite is able to spot objects of no more than 70 centimeters (28 inches) long.

RJ Eskow: Iran Is Bush's Next Crime – Against Christianity
HuffingtonPost Wed, 26 Apr 2006 11:02 AM PDT
2,000 years of Christian thought have gone into the development of "just war theory," a moral principle that highlights the fundamental evil of the Iraq war. It also serves as the foundation to oppose any unilateral strike against Iran. If Democrats want to reach out to that "red state" base they keep talking about, this might be a good place to start. You don't have to be Christian to admire

Dangerous Nation !!! For what? Because of Uranium enrichment? And your emphasis on the word "Nation" is interesting. I think you need to re-think who has been brainwashed.

IAEA has never been able to prove ther has been a military atomic program here.

All this is apparanetly for oil and gas. As it was in past. As it has always been.

Let me remind you that Iran has not attacked or invaded any country in almost 250 years and this dangerous nation has one of the oldest histories of the world.

Something else is that we have given 1,000,000 of our people to defend our country against IRAQ ( which was supported by almost all Arab countries + USA + France + ... ). We are ready to give another 2 milions to defend it if it is ever needed.

Best Regards,
Mac

hey buddy, we are not living in 5th century, where the king has to behave like a lunatic to make sure the people respect him.And no civilized nation's leader says that he is going to anhilate other country just because he does not like them.
whats wrong with letting russia enrich the uranium for you guys and take back after you guys have used for power generation.
I used to respect iran for what it was and for the iraneese people, some whom i know from my town back in INDIA, but the way things are going on, and after watching memritv.org ,i dont think so i will have any more respect for that country
there is a saying in sanskrit "vinasha kale viparith buddhi", the meaning of which i am sure would be told to you by some of the echarchans over here
