It's confusing . I can't decide which is my filing status : Single ,
Married Joint Return, Married filing separately ,Head of Houshold etc. based on their critera. I am married but my wife never came to US during my brief stay and does not have SSN/ITIN . So this software does not allow me to file as Married Joint Return or Married filing separately unless I give the SSN/ITIN. I can't chose Single also since I am married.

Total confusion

dude, get in touch wit some tax guy and ask him this question..
are you planning to come back to US ever again? if not then file as a single fuck and get it done wit..

if you plannin to come back it would be prudent to ask this q to a tax guy and get the correct answer..

i kno every1z unhappy with H&R block here but i would suggest you call these guys and clear it up

Regarding coming back , yeah work keeps me calling to US from time to time for various durations . So cannot take the chance .

Since School I have always done my Taxes at www.VisaTaxes.com

They did my OPT and H1B Taxes. Went with them to get refund on my OPT Taxes and have continued with them.

They seem to be experts in visa related taxes.

They also have a forum at

Specifically for visa related taxes.
