The Film - Mahima and newcomers in a good suspense film

I saw this film called "The Film" starring Mahima Chowdhary and some new comers.

This film is about 7 newcomers to the Hindi film industry who are struggling for that one break which will allow them entry into Bollywood.

The film has a good plot. Desperate for a break after trying for years together, the 7 decide to use the name of a underworld don and extort money so that they can launch their own film.

Sounds simple but turns out into a horrific reality. The plan is executed well but things dont go as planned. The film is interesting and ha dthe actors been big names then the acting would have been better. The director also needs more experience to keep the audience engaged.

Even then, I will say that this film is a good movie with a different story line and manages to keep the suspense well beyond the interval.

Do watch it... just dont reveal the plot here.

This sounds like a remake of the "suicide kings"... where 5 guys kidnap a mafia don... don't remember exactly why... this was my first DVD that I bought (about 5 bucks back about 5-7 years ago).

No I dont think this is remake of Suicide Kings. Also its available on DVD.. atleast it is in Bay Area.

Have you seen both films? From what you have described of "The Film" the scenarios sound the same...
