LCD monitor

Which brand is good. I bought NEC first but had to return bcoz of bad pixel and store didn't have extra to replace, so I ended up bringing home Samsung. I find picture is very blurred. I am too confused which one to go for. Can anyone suggest what to look for in LCD monitors.

ViewSonic makes some good monitors.

I read somewhere that since LCDs are relatively new, there is still room for improvement. The picture is not as sharp as it would be on a CRT.

My 2 yr old monitor blew up last week and I had to buy a new one... I looked for LCDs but didn't like the picture quality. Only thing I like about LCDs is the slick design itself. I decided to go for a Flat Screen CRT monitor instead of an LCD... it's a 19" KDS and it rocks. CRTs even give you lower dotpitch.

I got Samsung 172N.

And, yes true, picture is not Sharp. My laptop was much sharper even though its similar screen. I am not sure about the technology.

I am gonna go for another round in stores to look for more options.
