Lightbulb Elections....Forgotten Alternative

Both BJP and Congress(I) are rotten to the core. The public morality is down to the dumps. People can buy and sell law on every nook and corner. It seems its high time we need to explore the third alternative..MARTIAL LAW. Yes, army should take over and throw all these politicians and corrupt babus in jail. I am pretty sure this is the only solution although tough one to digest. But remember drastic problems need drastic solutions.

Far less than the politicians and more than that is the fear that will keep people on the right path

Even the army is corrupt

As pointed by Blr_boy the army is also corrupt..Didn't we see it in the Tehelka issue ??

I think we need to be self sufficient..When we give someone else the authority(Government) to manage us and give money(tax) to do so, the people in authority grossly misuse these funds and authority in their own interests.

Bringing in the army wud do no good...

Smaller grps of people need to start managing themselves in as many matters as possible...

Try to provide for ur own needs..if u depend on the govt , then u will never progress..

GH,

Look around you. Refer history books if necessary. In the past 50 years, dozens of civilian rulers have been deposed (many times in our neighbourhood itself). But did ONE of those military ruler(s) prove himself/themselves to be better than the Civvies he deposed. One example will suffice. How are you so sure then it will work in India? One thing in India which will straighten us under army rule?

Why wouldn't the army be equally corrupt?

At least in democracy there is a division of corruption , while in Military rule everything will go to the same dictator : while person on the streets will still get screwed.
