are 'remixes' better ?
do remixes provide us a better version of the original track...?
what do u prefer?

many or most of the times they provide a refreshing version of the original....not necessarily better, but refreshing...more contemprorary.....especially when making use of digital sound media to enhance the original song.

well it depends on the song and the person who does the remix...
like say there is a real classic like say chaudvika chaand...then an idiot comes and tries to do a remix of that...toh gaane ki M B ek ho jaati hai... and abt the artist, yeah there are some really good remixers like Bally Sagoo who have churned out some really good remixes like Kabhi Kabhi, Noori etc...but he has failed too with some abhi kya hai har koi DJ banna chaahta hai...what they dont understand is remixing is not just adding some jhankar beats to a song...many a times, u change the rhythm, the tempo and at times even the tune in order to come up with a really good number

Of course original songs are better !!
But some remixes are really good and gives refreshing sound. Also some remixes makes original songs popular like "Kaliyo ka chaman" which was not so popular song. Currently there is new remix song which I like : Saiya dil me ana re, oh ake u na jana re.... (Original by Naushad, sung by Shamshad begum) Naushad miya bahot bhadak gaye honge

some years back i used to watch mtv n some other channels late night with no volume(mute)...n it was very easy for me to distinguish the hindi songs from their eng counterparts..but now thats impossible..theres more skin in the hindi songs ..compared to the western ones...n that too without any meaning...its like a compulsion now....does anyone remember the band VIVA's first album...?just compare it with their latest one..embarrasing..when ur voice is not able to get u money ..use the god-gifted skin....vaise hamare guys i mean the 'male' community bhi kahan peeche rahne vali hain...has anyone seen the video of the song...'sajna hain mujhe sajna ke liye'..... how can i forget to mention the promos of 'BOOM'...
baat kya hain bhai...kya koi bhi movie main apni family ke saath nahin dekh sakta kya......

if tastefully done remixes can actually enhance the original. alas, such remixes are few and far between. i prefer on the whole to stay away from remixes.
