Avoid points on ur driving record..

I got this mail from someone in my office today. Anyone tried this :


This is how it works:

If you get a speeding ticket or went through a red
light or whatever the case may be, and you are going to get points on your license, then there is a method to ensure that you DO NOT get any points.

When you get your fine, send in the check to pay for
it and if the fine is say, $79, then make the check out for $82 or some small amount over the fine.
The system will then have to send you back a check for the difference, but here is the trick!

***DO NOT CASH THE REFUND CHECK!!!***

Throw it away!! Points are not assessed to your
license until all financial transactions are complete. If you do not cash the check, then the transactions
are NOT complete.

However, the system has gotten its money and is happy and will not bother you any more. This information came to our attention from a very reliable computer company that sets up the standard database used by each states' DMV.

Rumor by someone, its not working, here is a victim.

I got a speeding ticket driving on 94 MPH at 2:00 am on NJTP (New jersey turn pike) for $250, I did the same to send a check of $260. Its affected my Insurance amount, when its renewed last month.

NJTP pe koi 94 pe bhagata hai kya....saale udahr itne saare radar kai ke tu 85 ke upar gaya to tu fas jaye ga.

I know lots of people who have got stuck on NJTP...they see a straight road and they start to speed up.

Rahul buy a radar detector......u will get it at radio shack. Its banned in VA, but in MD, and DC u can use it..plus very helpful on NJTP.

I know that one speeding ticket (the first one) can be quashed by attending some defensive driving school or something.

People told me to take that school as it reduces insurance further.. but rather wait until you get your first one and then attend the class to anull that...

Big G, Nahi dost, yeh apni aokat bata rahi he, bata rahi he ki kaha se aayee he, just looks in the last few post, she changed dramatically, now she is no more claiming she is from IIT (IIT walo se punga is ancient word for her now), reason she know without Maa bahan she cant talk, and everybody know (and may have noticed too) IIT People naver use that kind of ascent. [b]Pata nahi konsi chal ki IIT se pad kar aayee he yeh maata/behan.[b]

Maa/Bahen/LOL/WOL cant make any statement stronger, as long as she know how to put words in decent humor (the way Lan langot or smelly do), its not her fault, actually its not taught in local chaal IIT .

YAAR padhu bhai that was my first time on NJTP and it was 2 AM, second I used to drive on CA, freeway like 5 or 101 there in night nobody taking care of speed, third it was Enterprise rent a van (empty), believe me man, those moving truck are far powerful then our normal compact cars.

Thanks for advice for radar ditactor, normally I used to drive 270 and 495 or maximum 95, so its not in regular need.

Even if it were true about the financial reconciliation at one point, they prolly figured it out by now, and fixed it.

The best way to avoid points (or try anyhow) is to ask the officer at the time of the ticket how you can avoid it. Usually first or second offenders can get away with defensive driving school. There are also counties that ask you to pay a little extra (70-80 bucks) to avoid points on a 6 month probation basis. Of course, if you are caught going 95 or something, there is prolly no hope..
