Forum for computer related issues please!

Dear Forum Manager (Echarcha)

Computer related issues are discussed in different forums now. It will be a good idea to create a forum for such threads.

Most of the time these threads become references for other people which have the same questions. These threads can teach lot of new things to people.

I wish we can have a place for such discussions.

I have been member/admin in many programming/computer related forums (posted more than 10,000 messages in such forums) and I will be happy if I can help.

I have been making the same request to the forum manager since the past 3 years ever since this site started , both in private as well as in public .

Thousands of times I have asked him to add a forum called Computerease here but forget about adding it he never even bothers o reply to such requests .

I have now totally given up giving free suggestions / advices and whenever I feel like suggesting something for the betterment of this site I try to comfort myself by remembering the age old adage - Advice when most needed is least heeded .

Moreover I comfort myself by thinking that there are better sites for Computer related issues totally dedicated to computers and I am already registered there .

Take it in writing from me on a stamp paper that no such forum would be added here .

The most you can expect is a reply to this thread from the manager though I doubt that too .

forum for gandmasti is that once I start a gandmasti only frum, my server space will be consumed within a week.

About computers.. I can put that up if you wish, but are you going to just post something which is already out there and can be searched by Google or you want to have something different?

I dont want the gandmasti forum .I just want a forum where I can ask computer related questions - questions whose answers I know I can easily get here (as most of us here have something to do with computers ) - questions for which I dont have to visit other sites .

I agree with Mac on this. It will be great if echarcha can serve a good reference for technical subjects. In fact, we have had some good techno discussions here. Ever since the Rasoi section became populated, I turn to echarcha for recipes before looking at other places. Perhaps technical forum can also get to be the same.

If we think we can find computer related things on other sites then other subjects are the same. I am sure computer forum on echarcha will not become a very professional programming / administration etc forum.

If we look at current computer related questions here we will see that most of those questions are general problems, sometimes easy programming questions etc.

This forum can become a pleasant place for computer related issues between echarcha friends.

We can give it a try. If it does not work you can merge it with another forum later.

There are many others in other forums and there are many older threads.

Recent votes showed that most of echarchans are working in computer field so its natural that they always have something to discuss in this relation.

I again think such forum can concentrate these subjects in a single place where people can use threads better and increase their knowledge/information, something that will make forums more useful for them.
