Who is this Arun Nayar guy? I was watching TV last night and saw a report that he is engaged to Elizabeth Hurley. Saw his picture and he looks mixed Indian and Gora and his mother is white.

London, May 4: The affairs of industrialist Arun Nayar and British actress Liz Hurley reached dizzy heights when the two travelled together in a London-bound British Airways flight recently.

‘‘Liz Hurley is well known for her public displays of affection for her new love Arun Nayar. But the lingering goodnight kiss and close embrace she gave him at 35,000ft went a little too far,’’ The Mail reported today.

‘‘As Hurley and Arun caressed each other in the first class cabinet of a London-bound British Airways jumbo jet, concerned passengers and crew feared the movie star and her boyfriend were about to join the exclusive mile-high club.

‘‘Fellow passengers settling down after dinner saw Hurley slide under the duvet of Nayar’s executive flat bed next to hers and wrap her arms around him. Nobody could see exactly what was happening as the two enjoyed their mid-air intimacy,’’ the tabloid said.

‘‘But the undercover activities of the 37-year-old Hollywood star and her married millionaire lover upset passengers trying to get some sleep in their luxury seats, which cost £6,500 return. ‘‘They alerted staff to the frolics of the VIP pair. And it was only after some of the BA cabin crew coughed discreetly nearby that Hurley pulled away from her partner and returned to her own bed. A BA source said last night: ‘‘There were raised eyebrows in first class because after dinner they got their duvets out and she hopped across to his.’’

In the end there was no bonking but it was a close call. Once she knew that people had seen her, Liz got out from under his duvet and returned to hers. ‘‘People do the most extraordinary things on aeroplanes, and this was no exception. They were clearly two people in love,’’ the tabloid said adding ‘‘technically, they were not breaking any rules apart from those of discretion.’’ But first class passengers paying that sort of money did not really want to watch couples getting quite so close.

A BA spokeswoman said: ‘‘We’re delighted to see that British Airways’ spacious flat beds in first class are being put to good use. It is a welcome example of how our unique flat beds offer not only great comfort, but room enough for two.’’
