Does Sonia Gandhi have all the credentials for ruling India,just because she was married into the Nehru household?

Yes Soniya Gandhi is an Indian and she has seen Indian politics since a long time.She is definately a very well cultured woman,and she is the leader of the biggest secular party of india.

The masses love her.She defeated BJP's Sushma swaraj in Bellary,this shows that people love her.so I think she is the best candidate to become Indian primeminister.

Whatever said and done, most countries require that their Prime Misnister or President be born in that country.

Sonia is a alien in that respect. Also there are over a billion Indians today. Dont they have one "born in India" citizen who can rule us?

I agree with sutradhar on the aspect that Sonia Gandhi is an alien to the country. Most of the countries including US have the law where topmost jobs in the nation are reserved for people born in the country. There are other aspects about Sonia Gandhi which is also important factors in her being unsuitable for ruling the country

1. Sonia didnt become an Indian citizen till 1983 even though she married Rajiv in 68. She was sleeping for 15 years before thinking of becoming a citizen. Only when Rajiv was appointed as AICC general secretary in 1981 and some congress comittee members pointed this out, she decided to adopt Indian nationality. So much said for her Indian ethos.
2. Most of her life she was shielded from Real India as she belonged to the first family, first as a daughter in law then as wife. So she hasnt seen the real India. While a person who has worked from grassroots to become a leader at top level knows what the problems of common Indians are.
3. It is a fact that the family shares a snob mentality towards ordinary Indians.

Suhasini sees her fit to be a ruler because of her god damned christian kinship. For her anyone who is christian can rule the nation. Let the nation go to dogs.

I feel bad about other Congress men who r in politics for 30-40 years and they just lick Sonias .. who is just 2 years in this business. Although masses love her. But what masses like about her ??? Masses love Hrithik and Sachin more than her , so should they become PM of country . This argument is totally rediculous. She has done no ground work in any field. What she has done is just becoming BAHU of royal family thats all. I think Sharad pawar was more suitable candidate in congress. But now he left. Sonia have 0 capability to rule india. i think laloo is better than her.

Suhasini, you say that Sonia won in Bellary, but I say she lost. Lost because until this election the Congress candidates in Bellary won by more than 1'00'000 votes and in this 1999 election, Sonia won by only 50'000.

By the way, why didn't Sonia have the guts to stand from an urban constituency? From Bellary, even a dog or cat from the Nehru/Gandhi family would have won.

I have no problems if the PM is a Muslim or Christian of Indian origin and is patriotic. If Dr. Kalam is standing for elections, my vote will go to him. But Sonia is a NOOOOO.
