what happens after I cancel ISP

I had AT&T for 2 years now.
Now I am going in for Verizon DSL.

MY question is: What happens to the email id & account that were created on AT&T?

Would I still be able to access them via the net?
Or would they be de-activated as soon as I cancel?

You'll lose your email accounts when you cancel - stop paying them... so better have a hotmail/yahoo account as a back up that's always going to be there - hopefully. Even they've started a paid service.. something like 10-15 bucks a year for a larger email account.

Best option would be

to email all your contacts and tell them to send you email at the new account. Do this just before you switch to a new account.

Or if you can, ask folks to send you email at your hotmail or yahoo account.

I have a paid Yahoo account for 10MB at just $9.99/yr and it is much better and portable.
