Where's my award

Re: CULT CLASSICS! Worst films ever made in Bollywood & Hollywood

Move over Spy In Rome, Boom, and Jaani Dushman ... there is even worst in town ...

Nalliyam Agent Hong Kong Amar something ... a telugu/tamil (?) film on Youtube in two parts.

Loved it. So bad that its great. Language is not a problem to watch this bullshit of a film.

Why among the greats likes of Dhoom and Spy In Rome? Producers had the finances to hire some of the most popular Superstars of the day ... and yet film sucks. Nice long over two hours of wet sucking.

Watched in one sitting and worth another another two hours of repeat pleasure this weekend perhaps ...

5 stars out of 5 ...

edit/add ... sorry for mix-up ... its Hong Kong Nalli Agent Amar Part 1

One Perfect Cult classic is Feroze Khan's Yalgaar in 1992.
One highlight of that is the character of Carlos - yes Carlos the Jackal!

Check that in the forst 3 minutes of this

Re: CULT CLASSICS! Worst films ever made in Bollywood & Hollywood

From 93 to 95, Gulshan Kumar was hellbent on making his brother, 'dashing kishan kumar' as Hero no. 1.
First attempt at that.

Apparently some reviewers went to a hall which sprted a houseful board. when they checked on black tickets, apparently they were hounded by ticket sellers offering the tickets at any price

Re: CULT CLASSICS! Worst films ever made in Bollywood & Hollywood

It is on Netflix now. Wah. This one truly made my weekend. It is snowing heavily and to mitigate the temperature I got some Kirkland's Rum* and this is the perfect one to go along with that.
So, the director Umesh Mehra had directed 'Ali baba and 40 Chor' and 'Sohni Mahiwal' with Soviets. But looks like with Glasnost and Gorbachev, Soviets were not interested in another collaboration with Mehras. So, he one fine day picked up a number of scripts lying in the trash can and mixed all of them to make a Khicdi movie.
There is a love triangle, Farmers issues, Moneylender oppresor, Courtesan and a lot more to make 2 hours and 40 minutes.

There is Rekha Who is a courtesan turned vendetta seeker. Mithun Da, the typical hero who is a college topper, basketball champion forced to be an auto driver.

Moon Moon sen offers a liberal leg show and her horrible acting** makes sure you dont get ditracted from admiring her figure.

With the Soviets off his back, Umesh Mehra now borrows from Michael Jackson played by Mithun Da. The Rum makes you relish watching this with the background music from Madonna.
He also borrows the concept of Flubber shoes from 'Absent Minded professor'

Mandakini is mostly in a Modest Salwar Kameez mostly, but not to be outdone by Moon Moon there is a dream sequence of her giving a cleavage show and swimming with a lot of make up on.

The villain is quite good at being bad. He along with his horny sidekick have wrong multiple people including Mithin da's dad Vinod Mehra.

Will Mithun da be able to deliver Justice? Of course it is a bollywood movie he will, but how?

Spike yourself up with spirits and watch this to find out.

BTW, there is another tacky review.

* to go along with Apple Cider, which turned out to be apple and Pomegrenate Cider. Having it with water right now.
** And to think her Mom Suchtira Sen acted in 'Aandhi' and Devdas with Dilip Kumar.
