man or machine

machines r slowly taking the role of humans ( ne ne...woh cheez abhi bahut door hain ) ....today we prefer to cut cost (of production or anything) by using them n thus wasting vast human force/resources....but again as i said to cut cost...but again we go in evenings to all those expensive gymnasiums to work out simply on pretext that we r not getting much of physical exercise....now whom shud we blame for that...man or machine... n do u think think this automated revolution will do more harm to human race than to benefit it

1. Man or Machine. If machine can do better job than a man, I prefer a machine. Infact, they already do, in companies like Ford or Honda where it's basically machines that do welding better than humans. What's deplorable in that?
On the other hand, machines can not yet think, or at least it appears so. Deep Blue and Deep Junior are machines, and also have an ability to 'think' which is usually missing in machines. But it would be long before we expect machines to be really human.

2. Gym: Or eating in an expensive restaurent. If you eat a dosa in a nearby hotel for 10 bucks, or pay 100 at Taj, it's your problem. It has nothing to do with man/machine debate. You are unnecessarily confusing things. As for Gym, you don't need to go to a gym. YOu can work out in your home, or just run a couple of miles a day, all for free.

3. As for machines, they still do not have as much capability to think as humans have. Infact, I am wrong. I should say that, machines haven't been brought up to learn from their own mistakes, and that day is not too far away.
