Well, strictly from a business perspective (all film makers are business men, as you know), they are just trying make themselves rich. Now the film makers are minting money. Say they make a movie on the barbaric isis. Do you think they will live the next day to even see how the film fared? Now all they hear are a bunch of people protesting for insulting their Gods (though I have not found the movie insulting at all. It was comical and asks crucial questions if you ask me).
Its simple. In the process of money making, most people choose to take the easy way.

Anyways, watched PK. Good comedy movie... though after sometime it seems to become a one-track movie. The paki-angle was literally hilarious... and totally faked-looking. They could easily have used another Indian guy from down south or something... could have been more viable with the sensitive crowd of India. Especially when the one-track was about a big-time guru... a practical no-no, even after umpteen scandals with big-time gurus.

Back to the movie, good comedy... but that's all. They could have made it more interesting and more comic... but the director seems to have toned it down. Would never know why.

I liked the first half. There were a few scenes and dialogues when I laughed out loud. The movie is a dig on religions. While the emphasis is on Hinduism, they tried to insert scenes to demonstrate lack of any biases. I think it's only fair that emphasis is given to Hindus since the target audience are Hindus.

The story goes like this. Amir khan is an alien stranded in Rajasthan. His 'remote control' to return to his spaceship is stolen and ends up in the hands of a godman called Tapasvi. There are some twists in the story. There is a half assed romance between AK and Anushka. She is good looking but I'd like to see less clothes on her.

And who said there is no criticism about other religions ? watch the movie and dont just decide by few comments on social medias

Finally watched this yesterday night on 'Bollywood Box office' in YuppTV.

It is a typical Rajkumar Hirani movie wth the same template as Munnabhai series and 3 idiots and repeating Boman Irani and Parikshit Sahni. Laughed at a few places, but it got on my nerves at more places.

It is more than ridiculing fake swamis and superstions that was in Lage Raho Munnabhai. It mocks Hinduism also throwing in ROP and christianity but that is more token. It is not mentioned but there is also a Jain ritual shown. Pic below.

I could use the terms in the movie itself - The wrong number in the movie is 'One size fits all' and mocking the idea that different faiths or sects could have different beliefs. Who TF is Hirani to suggest that instead of being used for Rudrabhishek, milk could be fed to poor chidren. Will that remove all poverty?

The makers of the movie could have used the idea from Boman Irani's character and kept out of religion.

The concept is good, where an alien is baffled by how human society works.

Some statements are intersting like 'Love and sex is behind closed doors while war and fighting happen in open'. But mocking religious customs was overdoing it.
