Re: Tweet of the day

I think Rahul Gandhi should be given a chance for five years to show what ideas he has for the development of the country . His father Rajiv Gandhi had some good ideas like computer revolution and high defence budget .

He actually reduced the defense budget later in. It was pushed up by VP Singh. Ironically, his contribution to defence is what brought him down- Bofors (there were a lot of other factors, but he became known for Bofors)

If 2019 to be decided on the basis of Oratories, hate speeches, personal allegations, fake news, PR, ads, social media fake stories, etc. Then RaGa will be having very very very thin chances to stand against Modi.

It was a massive mistake of the country to have bought VP Singh's fake claims of being the real mr clean and having voted for him . He brought mandal and totally disrupted the country's society .

Rajiv Gandhi came into Politics in 80. He proved his mettle in 1982 by organizing Asian games. He was also supposed to be behind firing of AR Antulay for Corruption. He had some background in 4 years when he became the PM.
He also was immature like firing Foreign Secretary in a press conference, insulting the AP CM, etc. Later on, he made political blunders first by Amending Constitution for Shah Bano case and then encouraging Ram Janmabhoomi movement. This lost him both Hindu and Muslim votes.

But he could boast some achievements, notably encouraging Cybercoolie cos. The first major offshoring set up of Texas Intruments happened in late 80s.

In all these 20 years or So, Rahul Gandhi isnt even close. He only shows immature streaks his father showed, but hasnt any vision.
His Ammi Jan had a vision which was to take India back to 80s socialist raj.

He went to UK for education when getting foreign exchange was impossible for common men. And he returned to India unable to pass exams. At which time, he got a pilot's job in Air India(god only knows how he was selected).

As a pilot he is duty bound and legally bound to provide his services to Indian army during war. During 71 war he ran away with his wife and kids to italy. He was AWOL during war, he should have been prosecuted and jailed for running away during war.

As per wiki leaks, he was arms broker for Swedish fighter jets and boeing. The was against the existing government policy during that time.

Antuley was lot better than the Maratha leaders, but the Marathas wanted someone Maratha hindu to be a CM. So made him scapegoat. Otherwise corruption like cement deal is in all parties for party fund. NaMo filled up BJP bank like anything that's why he was put ahead of Advani. But it turned out better than mofo Jinna Bhakt.

For Ahmed Patel I agreed with you. He is the one who insisted Sonia to do personal attack on Modi in her election speeches, she is obviously a weak orator, Modi translated her words into attack on Modi is an attack on Gujarati Asmita. Patel also insisted congress leaders to start campaign against Modi on the national level which gave more fuel to Modi to increase his size among BJP.
One good thing Modi can do is that, only he can make better relation between India and Pakistan.

The only genuine padha likha with his own effort in the family seemed to be Motilal Nehru. JN at least finished the graduation, but his descendents havent gone even that far.

Living in cities we try to understand villages. VP Singh came from UP/Bihar belt and the situation of OBC's and Dalits was worse in those areas. Things did not change for OBC's and Dalits in those states even after independence. This is the main reason why Behenji came in to power.

His ideas were right but the implementation was fcked up. Instead of bringing OBC's in to reservation, he should have given that to under poverty line, irrespective of caste.

Cut the reservation to 25% and assign extra 10% to below poverty line

I vaguely remember him not being academically gifted. But since he was practising, i assumed he must at least be at least a graduate.
