A closet AAPtard if I ever saw one ..

AK49 isn't worth supporting.. Everyone has seen his desperation and immaturity .. Chhatpatahat .. He was dreaming to be PM by getting 300 seats so he quit as Delhi CM blaming BJP .. Has he heard of 'consensus'? Lokpal bill is 'ghanta' if you dont have implementation on ground.

People in Delhi, youngsters I know, who are still happy for those 49 days of government. He left because he couldn't form consensus on Lokpal, apparently quite on moral ground as moral as BJP not trying to form government on mandate ground. If BJP is serious enough against corruption, which I doubt, they would have given serious thought but wait they are not even ready to disclose the names to SC, may be there own names are there

BJP never asked for support on morality ground then
This time BJP will form minority government since lok sabha elections are over and there is no reason for more morality related drama.

Re: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2014

Shiv Sena wants a face saver. All the political setups in India now realize that the BJP is in predatory mode now. It is not only the Congress that they want to kill, but also the smaller regional parties. Their impressive performance in Haryana and Maharashtra has reinforced this message.

Basically Shiv Sena is fighting for survival, they can't be seen to compromise even if they want to.

MNS is totally marginalized now, as as the other smaller parties. Of the remaining, Congress can't align with BJP, and SS and NCP seem to be begging for survival. I think that BJP won't give them any ground, except for throwing whatever morsels needed to form a government (even if a minority government).

I know the Delhi youngsters who support AAP.. all ex-Congis looking to save face.. because people started questioning you if you supported Congress.

Moral ground.. what moral ground can AAP claim? Now Kejri will have to swear on his wife and father (who btw stole his sister's property ) .. and AK49 sleeps on the street in winter during dharna.. with 5 rajai (quilts) on him. People in Delhi now ask Kejri when he comes to seek votes.. aap CM ki gaddi pe baithoge ki dharne pe???

You are jumping from one issue to another.. about the disclosing names to SC.. you don't understand legal matters so dont speak.

Re: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2014

Excellent analysis by Minhaz Merchant ..

Quote:
How Uddhav Thackeray lost the Maharashtra plot

LINK

If Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray wants to remain relevant in Maharashtra – and not meet the same fate as cousin Raj Thackeray – he will have to accept the role of a junior partner in the new BJP-led Maharashtra government. Having sat in the opposition for 15 years, another five years in opposition could shrink the Sena into a small regional party.

But will the BJP allow the Sena a face-saving formula to join the Maharashtra government? Is it in its long-term interest to do so? Most crucially, in strategic terms, does it need to?

Along with the support of independents and small parties like the Bhaujan Vikas Aaghadi (BVA), the BJP’s strength in the 288-seat Vidhan Sabha will be around 137 MLAs.

To win a confidence motion on the floor of the assembly, the BJP needs 145 MLAs. It is therefore eight seats short of a clear majority.

The NCP has announced it will support the BJP government from outside. This means its 41 MLAs will either vote in favour of the confidence motion or abstain. The BJP would prefer the latter rather than face the embarrassment of association with the NCP that a pro-confidence vote would imply.
If the NCP abstains, the strength of the assembly will stand reduced to 247 seats. The 137 MLAs of the BJP (and independents) will thus win the vote of confidence even if both the Congress and Shiv Sena (with a combined strength of 105 MLAs) vote against the BJP government.

Here lies the trap for the Sena. If it votes against the BJP in the confidence motion, two consequences will follow:

One, it will lose support amongst voters which will severely damage its electoral prospects in the next BMC election – and more seriously in future assembly elections.

Two, its anti-BJP government vote will anyway fail with only 105 MLAs (including the discredited Congress) voting against the no-confidence motion. Besides, voting on the same side as the Congress will give it an odour it may find difficult to shake off.
Success has many parents. Failure is an orphan. As a relative failure following the elections, the Shiv Sena now confronts the possibility of terminal political decline unless it makes up with the BJP.

Under these circumstances, what are Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah likely to do? They will simply go ahead and appoint a chief minister of Maharashtra after Diwali, form a BJP government and seek an early vote of confidence.

The Sena is in a mousetrap of its own making. If it stays outside government, it will lose political relevance. If it votes against the BJP government in the assembly, the move will fail – as we have seen in our electoral math – and also be ostracised by voters in future polls.
Uddhav Thackeray has managed to render the Shiv Sena dispensable in Maharashtra. It is this realisation that might make him offer the Sena’s support to the new Maharashtra government and seek a role in it – unconditionally.

The development has brought out the much-speculated turf war in Nagpur (between Gadkari and Fadnavis) out in open beyond any doubt.

Re: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2014

Couple of things -

1. MIM has double the number of seats of MNS including one in Mumbai. So, all that ranting b Akbaruddin has actually found some takers.

2. Hung assemblies generate more interest. People have forgotten about Haryana. SOme news from there.

Manohar Lal Khattar to be next Haryana chief minister

Sources told Express that Khattar made it to the shortlist after the party leaned towards a non-Jat to lead its first government in Haryana.

Re: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2014

I was wondering how Khattar being s(elected) for the job would create trouble.. many didn't know about Khattar's closeness to Modi would have cursed Modi in his presence.. now they would be like.. saala m#(*&*$d iski itni pahuch hai beta

He was mainly chosen because of being like Modi and his closeness to him.. also he's non-jat.. BJP got less support from Jats who voted for Hooda.. so makes sense to install a Punjabi who is also from RSS

edit: ass-essment from a news trader.

Post Re: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2014

One more thing that is now clear is that the nuisance value of MNS and the role of Marathi manoos 'vote divider' is over. Raj Thackrey has now made enough money from Sharad Pawar by dividing votes in past few elections (Assembly, Municipal elections all over Maharashtra) and now has nothing left to show for future.

In last Assembly elections MNS had won 13 or 14 seats. So MNS had a good 'vote divider' value for anyone willing to pay.

This time its down to just 1 seat from some rural area. MNS also lost in its bastion Nashik.

Right now the Election Commission might take back the official recognition of MNS as a regional political party.

So all the big talk and mimicry of Raj Thackrey was of no use. People saw through Raj Thackrey when he backed Modi during recent Parliamentary elections but contested against BJP Sena combine wherever a Shiv Sena candidate was contesting elections. No wonder all his candidates like Mahesh Manjrekar in Mumbai lost their deposits!

There was a joke doing the WhatsApp round saying Kejriwal and Raj Thackrey are joining hands to form a new party called 'ManaStap' (in Marathi it means Deemag ka Dard)

Another was - What's the difference between a two wheeler and MNS? Answer: Two wheeler has more seats than MNS.

SO what is going on - Gadkari wants to be CM?
He is seen saying on news channels that he is happy in Delhi.
