Red face Diwali Disasters - Mr Mrs Khanna, Blue, All the Best

Blue - Good stunts, nice concept, weak execution, hardly looks like a thriller. 120 Cr. invested, only the bumper opening that it has got might save it from being a lump sum flop. Though it will be a flop for sure.

Mr. and Mrs Khanna - Based on relationships, it hardly has any entertainment value except for a couple of comic scenes and music. No way that ppl would prefer it over Blue or All the best, so going is gonna be tough. Another flop if you ask me. 40 Cr. invested in this one.

All the Best - This is Garam Masala kinda fatafat situational comedy. Although it doesn't have a logical script or class of a great situational comedy, but it entertains you enough. After a long time i saw audience laughing throughout the movie 70 Cr. invested in this one. Should make more than that

The popular myth of movies doing well in diwali seems all set to receive a setback this time around. 230 Cr. mein se 150 bhi nahi aate dikhate. Diwali mein producers, distributors aur exhibitors ka diwalia nikalane wala hai

Aur public ka bhi

Re: Diwali Disasters

saw All the best and Mr and Mrs. Khanna. Later one sucks big time. Do not waste even a dime on it.
All the best is masala movie. Good tp. Although the movie could have been much better with Sharman joshi/Arshad Varsi or even Shreyas Talpade. Ajay Devgan and Fardeen were not able to do what those guys did in Golmaal and Golmaal returns.
Started watching blue, turned it off after 10 mins.
Will recommend All the Best if you want to watch something.

Re: Diwali Disasters

even though the budget of hindi fillums is shotting up day by day, there is no improvement seen in the quality.its high time ,hindi film industry should revert to originality and make some quality stuff rather than some trash meant for some short term money yield..

Re: Diwali Disasters

Friday night I start watching Blue. I see till the song 'I want to Chigi Wigi with you' and then switch it off. I got sick of the supposedly ultra cool way of saying 'Sarkar', 'Arab', 'Badshah', 'Malik' which Askhay and Sanjay Dutt keep on using to address each other. It was very irritating.

Also seeing Zayed Khan is a pain. The only one worth seeing was Lara Dutta but she alone cannot keep me interested in a movie. I was bored, felt tired, switched it off.

Today afternoon I started watching All The Best. Enjoyed till Sanjay Dutt reaches the house and then some shenanigans start. But got bored because the tricks and jokes and gags became the same and boring. So switched it off. Had a nice nap instead. Woke up fresh, farted, sat on the throne, felt happy.

In the evening there was Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge on TV. Watched that to overcome the crap of the last two movies.

Re: Diwali Disasters - Mr Mrs Khanna, Blue, All the Best

Saw ALL THE BEST .

good comedy.

the audience was laughing all the way and the movie looks like a winner.

Blue is just okay.

the photography is good and the scale is opulent.

but the makers have given importance to style over substance.

the storyline is weak ,and the fight that takes place in the end does not live up to the hype of the movie.

akshay has done his super-casanova-hanging-out-with -dozons-of-bikini-clad-half-naked-babes act too many times now.

its getting repetitive.

sanjay has a paunch now and looks old .

does not suit him to fight much younger and fitter looking men ( and beat them up !! )in both the movies- blue and all the best.

lara ,on the other hand ,sizzles.

katrina can hardly act.

zayed looks good ,but other than looking good ,is good at little else.

the makers have over- attempted to pack hi-fi action sequences in the movie, and while technically good ,they look contrived .

script is weak.

what hold blue together sometimes is the lavish scale.

Seen Aadhavan (Tamil movie), Diwali release. Good comedy but old story line. Was OK, but not up to the standards of Surya. No way close to Vaaranam Aayiram...

Re: Diwali Disasters - Mr Mrs Khanna, Blue, All the Best

Saw Mr Mrs Khanna over the week end, waste of $10.00.

For once I want to see a commercial film where the wife treates the husband the same way the husband treats the wife. It would have been great if Kareena left salman and married the other guy in the film.
