RIP George Bush senior

He was a good President . Unlike his son who destroyed the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein and left the middle East a complete mess , he was smart enough to allow Saddam to continue to rule in Baghdad after liberating Kuwait .

Re: RIP George Bush senior

RIP. He began improving relations with India after they were at a low during Reagan time.
The short and swift victory in the gulf war compensated for the mess in Vietnam. Though his son made a mess in Iraq.
His biggest moment (some call it achievement) was that he presided over the victory in Cold war and the end of communism.

But for all this, voters only remembered his breaking the promise of 'no more taxes' and replaced him with Clinton, under whom Umrika saw 'Sabse Achchhe Din'. Many of these good times came of out decisions by Bush Sr.

BTW, to docji. I first came to know of this event in EC.

I can now imagine the news discussions-
Right Wing - Such a great president who won the cold war.
Left Wing- Such a great president and much better than Trump.
