Agree with shakti, beans are not for pressure cooking. Also agree that pressure cooked stuff always ends up soggy. It's the same for most of vegetables - whether beans or carrots.

I can see that it's going to be a never ending argument - you arguing that the length of time in slow cooking kills the wholesomeness, me arguing that pressure cooking destroys most of the nutrients and that slow cooking, preferrably over a coal fire (angithi, tandoor etc) is the best.

So I will recuse myself from this topic.

I only wanted someone to try before judging this. Beans for example. Why not try exactly what I said and then decide?

If you still dont agree, thats fine but I dont think I can take your word before you try.
Same thing for Sarvi. Why not give it a try? hardly takes anytime.
Just do exactly what i say and then tell me??

me too, for me the number/compexity of cookingware to wash is an impediment. Pressure cookers, especially the pot shaped are the worst.
