Re: Tamizh, a part of India?
Don't talk about Goa. Prosperity in Goa is because of high-spending tourists. If tourism was not there, Goa would have been poor like most other Indian states.

Re: Tamizh, a part of India?
^^ This is gold, quite comprehensively demolishes the rich south feeding poor north narrative built by pseudo-economists. Per capita, Himachal is almost same as TN, Haryana is ahead, Uttarakhand (Baba Ramdev?? ) almost same as Tamil Nadu. Sadly, my home state Punjab is losing out.. Sikkim is a huge surprise. Btw, saneless you may want to reconsider Chattisgarh ![]() Last edited by sarv_shaktimaan; August 20th, 2018 at 08:48 PM. |

![]() Can the traditional attire of Indian women, saree be regarded as that common fabric? If yes, then it is literally a common fabric of entire India. I have heard it is worn even in Pakistan.

Re: Tamizh, a part of India?
Arre fabric word is used there metaphorically.. like what's the common thread.. or what's the common stuff like ethos.

![]() He was not my acquaintance. How to broach such topics with a stranger?
Moreover, tab ye sab mujhe maaloom nahi tha. Bahut si baatein mujhe der se maaloom padi. Time pe nahi. An example of how I got some info too late: I had access to authentic info regarding Kargil war. But as I trusted the Indian media then, I ignored and didn't care to ask more from this person. Now after I am disillusioned with media, I want to ask the truth but that guy is not opening up. That's the reason I go to Pakistani forums - in the hope of scavenging authentic piece of info. First hand accounts are the most authentic and reliable ones. I heard that non-Punjabis in Indian military don't face bullets easily etc. |

Re: Tamizh, a part of India?
on a more positive note , the indian army has to station very few troops in tamil nadu . there is no sign of revolt at all . so it seems that most tamils are content with being with india .
if you saw the dead silence and the stunned look on the faces of the tamil spectators in the chennai stadium when sachin tendulkar was caught out in a crucial test match against pakistan in 1999 , you would believe that tamils are indians . on the flip side , tamils are not enthusiastic about joining the indian armed forces . this inspite of the fact that they do have martial tradition ; the chola emperors conquered indonesia and sri lanka in the ancient times and their armies invaded bengal , and the LTTE showed that even modern tamils can fight .
