Re: 'Dilli ka thag' movie to be remade

I should have realized Arvind Kejriwal was a wolf in disguise as everyone warned us here. I let my good intentions run away with me. I actually thought AAP will prove an alternative to the Congi cartel despite my initial reservations with Kejriwal despite the fact his initial funding was from the Ford Foundation.

I apologize to everyone here. It seems in Indian politics you cannot trust anyone except a chosen few which we already know here.

Namo Namah.

Re: 'Dilli ka thag' movie to be remade

Go search my replies about Anna Hazare when the agitation in Delhi was hailed by the media and most folks here as the second coming of Christ.

I knew and I still believe that Anna Hazare and all his followers are hard core communists and not worthy of trust.

Anna is not probably a communist. He is indeed a man with outdated thinking about the economy. But I will still take good hearted Anna over a snake tongued economist like MMS.

Re: 'Dilli ka thag' movie to be remade

Well it is good for Congress like said by another, since they will be able to represent the AK as the reason for all the bad that is going to happen and get some vote share back again using some more tricks from Italy.

Well the adverse affects of the sudden change in policy without considering the long term adversities, will become a big hole in the Delhi State Finances. Even if he wants to cut the charges, he may as well do it in installements instead of sudden shifts in policy.

I don't get it from anywhere, how exactly the AK is thinking of getting the budget balanced in the coming years due to this sudden drop of revenue. Is he thinking of raising indirect taxes, like if u want free water you should buy a purification machine or something like that, what is his plan to balance the budget. And also he is not saying anything about the freebies that are being already offered by the Cong. Govt., is he going to continue them or not.....

well can anyone through some light on these things......

Re: 'Dilli ka thag' movie to be remade

After turning off the TV and skipping the sections in newspapers which have been constantly blaring about AAP and Kejriwal, I have summarised what all this is about from my point of view

1) Delhi folks were angry and livid with the arrogance of Sheila Dixit and the rest of her coterie. AAP did a good job of using this anger to their benefit.

2) People would have voted even a donkey in this situation and AAP again managed a good show by going door to door with a 'zhaadu'.

3) Now that AAP is in power, they will continue on their extremely unviable and non feasible utopian agenda. But Congress will pull the rug from under their feet.

4) Till whatever time AAP is in power, the same people who voted for AAP will realise that they wanted 'less and disciplined corruption and not the out of limits corruption' like Sheila Dixit gave them. Soon these voters will cringe when their regular work wont get done the regular way with regular bribes.

People of India basically want corruption but in a nice and disciplined way. Congress would not have faced a tough time in Delhi and 4 other states had they managed to keep corruption in a disciplined way. They just let it run amok and hence the voters were pissed off.

No body wants to go to the traffic police chowky to pay the challan for a driving violation and collect their driving license. They all want to pay 50/100 rupees on the spot and get on with it. These same folks will vote against corruption but wont like the 'convenience' of bribing the traffic hawaldaar on the spot to be taken away.

Re: 'Dilli ka thag' movie to be remade

Thanks to this, every day is an entertainment.

Metro Ride on Day 1.
Ram Leela Maidan on Day 1.
Transferring Jal Board CEO on Day 1.
No security on Day 1.
Removing Lal Battis on Day 1
AAM Darbar on Day 2.
Getting Mobbed on Day 2.
Delhi Police security on Day 2 to prevent all the mobbing.

Reminds me of 2 things -
1. Bruce Almighty Movie ('God Tussi Great ho' for those who missed the original)
2. Sarojini Naidu's statement. "It costs a gerat amount to Keep Mahatma Gandhi in Poverty"

The employees of the grounded Kingfisher Airlines, who have not been paid their salaries for the past 17 months, today said they will seek help from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in getting their dues.
"In the past, we have requested to both the Congress and the BJP to intervene in the issue. But none of them did come to our help. We will now approach Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and seek his help in getting our dues cleared," a Delhi-based Kingfisher Airlines employee told PTI.
He said a section of employees from Delhi will soon seek an appointment with Kejriwal to apprise him of the "trauma, agony and the financial hardship" that around 2,000 unpaid employees are going through for almost a year and a half

Re: 'Dilli ka thag' movie to be remade

Today, Mahatma Sri Sri Sri Arvind Kejriwal could really do well with all the 700 litres of free water.. since he has got loose motions.

He is so transparent he has announced on twitter about his loose motions.. AAPterds can visit AAP's website and check the frequency of his motions.

Re: 'Dilli ka thag' movie to be remade

only God knows who has what authority in India

Government has no authority to reduce power tariffs: DERC

MUMBAI: Delhi's electricity regulator has said the government cannot interfere in fixing tariff though it can subsidise consumers, highlighting the potential difficulties facing Arvind Kejriwal, the new Delhi CM, whose party has promised to halve electricity prices in the Capital.

"The government cannot interfere in tariff fixation. It is a regulatory issue," PD Sudhakar, chairman, Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission, told ET.

"We fix the tariff as per law, taking into account all economic considerations. The government cannot interfere in the process. But if it wants to support people, it can offer a subsidy to reduce power tariff," he said.

"How do they (Aam Aadmi Party) propose to reduce the tariff? We fix the tariff after due diligence and it is difficult to reduce tariff beyond a point as 70% of Delhi's power comes from outside and we have no control over the cost of power," the state power watchdog said ..

Re: 'Dilli ka thag' movie to be remade

classic case of making big promises like any other party.. and then finding out the truth.

It is true that delhi purchases water and electricity from other states.. Farjiwal transferred the Jal Board CEO when he told him rates can't be slashed and free water cannot be given.. How is this different than Mayawati, Mulayam, Mamata who suspend or transfer officers at the drop of a hat..

To go back in time further, google for AP Venkateswaran. He was the foreign secretary who was fired by Rajiv Gandhi in a press conference.
