What about Rasam Indian?? That trickles faster...

Anyway Our ex- Mod Pelu too apparently had a similar penchant to enjoy his food...

Re: Ultimate joy of having food

I enjoy eating with my hands. Rice and Maharashtrian goad-ambat (sweet and sour) daal with a spoon never tastes as good as it does with hands. Also I find that eating with hands gives me a sense of a full meal. Never the same with a fork and spoon.

Re: Ultimate joy of having food

I am a table-spoon man as far as eating 'Chawal-Dal' is concerned. Though I admit sometimes one in blue moon , eating with hands is also enjoyable.

But certainly not in this fashion ,Indian Yukkkks

Re: Ultimate joy of having food

I use the spoon and fork for the rice and daal if I am in a Indian restaurant. I do use hands for the naan.

In other places like Chinese restaurants its always the fork.

Once I had been to a chinese restaurant with a Thai coworker. He taught me to use those sticks and I taught him to eat rice with hand. with a slurp! He first did could not believe we ate like that at home But he did give it a shot. Man I was laughing on his expression he made everytime taking a fried rice with hand. I thought agar isme curry bhi hota to ye kya karta

But eating with chop sticks left me unsatisfied. Kuchch maza hi nahi ayaa pura khana bhi nahi kha saka aur din bhar thumb and palm dard hua wo alag

yeah, its fun to watch their faces when they eat with hands for the first time. i had a vietnamese friend at home for dinner and he couldnt believe we ate with hand. he tried it and liked it a bit but couldnt handle the hot, spicy food. so he switched to spoon and fork midway.

Cool Re: Ultimate joy of having food

why gross and vomit ??
i eat like that at my home and my near & dear should bear it ..no choice !
our body is subjected to too many artificial things thes days ..wtf..again a spoon & fork ?
why we work so hard in our life ...?? to have 3 times meal a day.... right ?
and if we are not able to enjoy that simple and basic thing ..the way you like ..its a waste of living .
Like our admin has his every day simple pleasure of cleaning his arse with water, i do enjoy eating with hand.

some of my friends like me ...they also like to eat with hand , yes.. even some gora & chinky people(all men) when i go abroad.

i make sure i dont create sound & noise during this kind of eating & slurping. Some cross this limit too
when im in a restaurant ..i always use spoons & forks ..just want to avoid visiting stinking wash rooms/toilets after a nice meal.

One more thing i have to recommend to you all...whenever you ate food like daal + rice in a plate, watch out for a thin fine & nice layer of tasty creamy dal+rice settlement . you cannot pick it up with spoon/fork .grab it using your fingers/palm holding plate in your hands . Then lick it with your tounge and dont leave the last bit of sticky dal + rice on your fingers..slurp it to last. Slurp it till your hand is clear of daal & rice.
This is the best thing ..i enjoy .

Cooldude ..

Rasam is very fluid and i cannot catch it when it runs down so fastly below my hand. Generally...What i do to get this into my mouth is ..bend the plate little bit and grab into my hand and hold it like how we hold theerth/theertham/holy water in temple. next step is to ..slurp it continusously untill the spice in rasam touhes your brain and chokes your throat. good thing to do ..when you are suffering with cold and sour throat. Spicy Hot rasam infact works like medicine for me during cold.

Some times..i just life the plate ..bend it little bit and drink the rasam straight away. This technique is good for people who eat rasam + rice and dont know how to handle huge amount of leftover rasam in plate.

guys ...this may sound not so decent ...but believe me... you will enjoy a lot and the satisfaction you feel is far better than what you get with artificial spoons & forks
And this is not just applicable to rasa or samber ...it applies all kinds of food whichever leaves a nice fine layer of settlment on the plate.

an indian middle class family ..with no dining table ..forget about spoons & fork. having food in a thali , sitting on the ground to have food.
i lift a spoon to have my dinner ....
daadi amma says ...kyun re beemar hain kya jo haat se khana naheen kha saktha ?
bhagwaan haat jo diye khane aur dhone ke liye ...isthemal karo bhai .. kya sharmana ?

already sutradhar ji bahut rote hain ...tissue paper se apni gand dhoney ke liye. tabi woh apna haat istemaal karthe hain aur apni gand saaf karte hain
spoons & forks / Tissue paper are not perfect !
Wether it is mouth or arse hole,Only our hands understand better about our body. There is a divine connection between hands and remaining body parts, do not seperate them with artificial objects which stops you enjoying your Nutrition and Excretion activities.

abhi zyaada details mein jaaunga na ..raat ko khana naheen kha payega.
aap try karlo ek bar haat se kahana khao ..ungli chato..mazaa karo.
