Some chutia claims.... super chutia. What they claim to be original samosa, the preparation more resembles croissants and nowhere close to pure original samosas from India.

Samosas are deep fried with maida preparation stuffed with spiced potato.
The others in the claims are either baked, roasted or steamed.

Samosas are different from Kadabu..... A Karnataka disk prepared with sweet stuffing or special curry stuffing and come in multiple flavours. The sweet ones are either deep fried or steamed. The spiced ones are steamed. Chinese later on took the recipe and started their own line of dishes and called them momos. Sevai, are made in two varieties in india. Like the dried sticks of dough and the fresh ones are prepared with freshly extruded ones (yum, they are called vat-shavge ... sorry if you folks haven't tasted them). We are quickly losing this dish as the so called modern folks are more looking towards momo and noodles ... that are simply spoiled variations of a wonderful desi cuisine.

The arabs and the middle east never knew cooking and their history of cooking is more recent. None of their dishes is original.... maybe biryani which they developed after learning to cook rice from India. Invaders continued to make them as they lacked the better taste and adopt to the great Indian cuisine. What do you know... they didn't even grow rice, not until recently .... only Iraq tried to cultivate some and perhaps Saddam preferred Indian rice so he didn't promote the rice cultivation anyway. Even wheat was grown recently in Syrya and Iran... the main ingredient needed to make maida that goes on to make the delicious Samosa. So the tall claims of Iran being the originators of samosa don't hold a drop of water. Iran is the worlds largest importer of wheat.

looks like you tend to ignore the facts that they do not cultivate wheat. Let alone invent samosa. Looks like you tend to get easily convinced by arab lovers.

yaa... they learnt how to boil rice from Indians and took our spices and made something called biryani... Indians had to end up improving it to make it edible.

Not sure how this makes them samosa inventors.
Your facts are made up with nothing to back it up (no link or such)...and go to hilarious extent...like wheat was grown recently in Syria and Iraq. Sounds like you are infected with maxi-virus.

ok ... even if they cooked meatballs covered with some dough... it is extremely stupid to call it the baap of desi samosa.... just because some freak made a website and to make if interesting cooked up a story of how "samosa" traveled.
Perhaps the creator of the website is sucking up some sheikh and earning some Dirham ... or maybe simply an arab-lover. I have met many who are just waiting to jump at an opportunity to mention the best place to live is "the middle-east" ... without a doubt . Whats more... they came to this conclusion from living in the interior chauls of some backward basti ... and they never even seen outside of Hyderabad.

So, if Encyclopaedia Britannica were to say the same thing, you'd buy it then?
