Office of the Indian prime minister changes its Twitter handle and won't give access to newly elected PM Narendra Modi.



Imagine if in 2016, when US President Barack Obama prepares to hand over the office of the presidency to his successor -- and all the digital assets of the office, including the 4.84 million follower strong @WhiteHouse Twitter account -- that he and his staff decide to sabotage the online efforts of the president elect.

That's precisely the showdown taking place in India Tuesday when the office of the Indian prime minister changed its official Twitter handle from @PMOIndia to @PMOIndiaArchive, taking its 1.24 million followers with it to the grave of outgoing PM Dr. Manmohan Singh's administration.

10 years is a long time. You cant blame old man for being a bit sentimental. So what if he brings along with him twitter account, toilet rolls, few bathroom towels and bed sheets from official PM's residence as a memento of good times he and his family have had last 10 years? You two are so cheap.

Nothing new,during his tenure the files disappeared and now the PMO's account God knows what other files they must have taken away from the PMO office

What happened to our culture is what my deep thinking is thinking today. Was not it too long ago that our culture taught us to respect old people and people in power and honorable family of Late Motilal Nehru and Pheroz Gandy for serving us without charging us one ruppee, freely?

2. As soon as it became apparently apparent that BJP will win and Congress will no longer be in power ... Honorable Dear Leader the future of India Rahul Gandhi rushed overseas for 2 days. Look at unfairness of our media ... not one newspaper typed that Rahul being a world leader must have rushed to foreign to meet and discuss important matters to REMOVE poverty of Indians, considering he was no longer to be a prime minister in few days. His dedication to duty should be applauded by all Indians.
