Thumbs up Statement by Mulayam Singh on anti-rape laws is shameful: Jaya Prada

Statement by Mulayam Singh on anti-rape laws is shameful: Jaya Prada

Press Trust of India | Apr 14, 2014 at 02:44pm IST

RLD candidate from Bijnore, Jaya Prada slammed Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh over his recent controversial remarks on anti-rape laws, terming his rhetoric as "shameful and irresponsible."
The actor-turned-politician while speaking to media in Agra on Sunday in Kheragarha area of Fatehpur Sikri said that Singh's comment reflect his attitutde towards women.

"The statement by Mulayam Singh on the anti-rape laws is shameful and it shows his attitude towards women. People will give him a reply to this in the form of votes", Jaya Prada said.

SP supremo had earlier said that it was unfair to award death penalty for rape as "boys tend to commit mistake," drew flak from all corners.

Jaya Prada was on road show of RJD nominee Amar Singh. The yesteryear actor also shook hands with local women and urged them to vote for Amar Singh in the local dialect.

On Saturday actress Sri Devi also joined the campaign bandwagon for Amar Singh.

Shameful indeed but is she quitting SP for this? If not who cares .. really.

ok ok she's in RLD watever that is but she was in SP and got kicked out along with Amar Singh. Now she finds it shameful but how could she join the party of goons in the first place.

Now, contrarian me finds her cool and chic in this. This is the first pic i am seeing her in a western outfit. All her movies were in Sarees or so.

Now, read her comments. She says she is against Mulayam being Mulayam on Rapists, and this surfaced only recently. She never said she is against goons.
