Re: For cricket fans

Dont know why we persist with Ishant. I know Shami was injured, not sure if he hasnt recovered. But even a half fit bowler would be better than this guy. Why dont they play only Umesh as our fast bowler and rest all spinners. I am itching to see Mishra or Chawla or Ojha play.

Agree.. in all likeliness this may be last series for him. He's dropped from ODIs and T20s anyway.

I would have never played him in subcontinent, unless no fast bowler at all. He was effective at times in Australia, he can't even bowl yorkers.. just runs up and hits the deck, no consistent line length.

Looks like this is the only thing he's famous for these days..

I hope you are right. He had good pace and height but.....we still wait for a bowler who can rip thru batting orders even on unhelpful pitches.....someone like akram....one world class bowler who can play 100 tests and show 400 wkts for it. Chalo 500 wkts, jab khwab hi dekh rahe hai toh

Re: For cricket fans

Jaddu is a far better player than #9. Dont know why ashwin has to bat ahead of saha and jaddu. In fact, jaddu, saha and ashwin seems like a justified order.

And cant believe they scored only 57 runs in the last session.

Re: For cricket fans

Jaddu is useless batsman.. he hits rash t20 shots and gets out.. cant expect more than 10-20 runs from him.. typical tailender he is unlike Ashwin .. even Ishant is more sensible

I dont agree that Ashwin is better than both Jaddu and Saha. Jaddu may be a little unpredictable, but he is better than Ashwin for sure if not Saha.

Re: For cricket fans

If we concede even a 50 run lead, we will be out.

NZ lost because of 1 good partnership between QDeKOck and Bavuma that gave them a sizeable lead from 6 down for 90.

BD has a chance to beat SL but it may not happen. IF Herath bowls well, I think the current lead of 140 might be enough

I think 50 runs lead would bexpect borderline - neither winning nor losing. Anything less than that, India will feel better due to Jaddu's bowling.

Agree about SA's win.
BD has a rare shot at a rare away victory. But I also suspect that Sri Lanka may edge it.

This article shows Aus is still.a.victim of its own rogue mentality. They have proven to the world that they are pathetic losers.

I am not unhappy with the comparison of Kohli with Trump but rather happy that they have proven their own racism and their dirty tactics which they try to hide under the garb of mental disintegration. Ranatunga still rankles them is proof that Kohli is right. Now if only BCCI supports Kohli and SC is taken off the back of BCCI!

Not one word of chiding their cheat-in-chief Smith.

Re: For cricket fans

Indian scoring rate is low. Don't know why they want to play like that. If the idea is to leave less time for the last innings when they are batting 2nd, it doesn't make sense. When India loses they always lose bigly. Usually a parade to pavilion is what we witness. So no question of time. In fact, in the last match at Ranchi slow scoring hurt us. We didn't have enough time left to claim the last 4 wkts.

And my fav rant - why does Tambi Ashwin play ahead of Saha and Jadeja? GOK!

All said and done, Aussies have planned, prepared and executed well in this series. Our batting and bowling superstars, Kohli and Tambi, have been rendered toothless in the series. Of course, that planning includes a lot of sledging and cheating!

Re: For cricket fans

I wish India show similar fight when they tour Australia.
Win at least one test when series is alive. Has happened in 2004 and 2007. But after that India haven't won anything.
