ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

Show your love for cricket this year by watching the world cup start on 14th February.

I am thinking of keeping this thread sticky so it remains on the front page.

Indian campaign starts with game against Pakistan . It's like starting a movie with climax. Well, not exactly ,but sort of.

I certainly have lost much interest in cricket. I thot India just won it a year or 2 ago and now it is back again

i lost interest ages back. I last caught on the 92 world cup, more to check on some bikini clad ladies in the audience.

My reputation was such that whenever i came to see a match in the hostel TV room, India would start losing.. The Junta started shooing me away after a while from the TV room.

I will check on some matches this world cup for the same reason as the 92 world cup. And BCCI team has been losing matches consistently even without me watching

Re: ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

last world cup we watched the India matches in a Phoenix movie hall..

Ind Pak match.. one hall was full of Indians and the adjoining one with Pukis. Lots of bhangra and dhol beats. We'd go dancing to the Puki hall every time a Puki wicket fell.. they'd come tease us with shouts of Pakistan Zindabad when Puki team was doing well. The final was even more fun ..

My cousin was offered Rs. 75K per ticket for 4 tickets he bought at 10K a piece.. for the India Pak match at Mohali last time. He didn't sell, has fond memories of the match for a lifetime.

Re: ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

Warm up game shows Indian batting doing okay - but bowling ran into Warner and Maxwell. They can be hard to handle on their day for any attack.

Guruji - World Cup Predictions

My world cup predictions for the year 2011 were almost 100% accurate. Back from slumber now to make my world cup predictions for 2015.

1. India will win against Pakistan.
2. Dhawan will be dropped as opener after his miserable show in the warmup games
3. Ajinkya to open with Rohit. Rayadu and Kohli next.
4. India will be knocked out in the quarter finals
5. Australia, England, South Africa and New Zealand will be in the semis
6. Australia and South Africa to play the Finals
7. South Africa to win their first World Cup
8. Dhoni will retire from 50 over format after the world cup and will play his last IPL this year.

Wishing all echarchans the best. Much love.

Guruji, I agree on everything apart from 2 and 3.
Dhawan will play full WC and then will be dropped for ever. Dhoni will stick with him
