Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Watched "Hate Story". That is also on Netflix. I could call it a Dollywood movie. It is based around Delhi. I had never heard or seen most of those actors before (The most famous is Mohan Kapoor!).

Found it wonderful.
Lot of sleaze and revenge by seduction. Not a conventional bollywood movie. Very little Dhishum and no Mush Mush.

Totally my type. One caution is that others normally dont like the kind of movies i do.

All this netflix movies talk .. I signed up

Watched 'the boy in the striped pajamas' .. A must watch in my view one of the few I'd rate 4.5 on 5 .. May be even a 5 in this genre (nazi genocide).

Watched Karzzzz over the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyable... if you are a masochist. The ending was extremely painful.

Note, I watched it only for educational purposes... so that I can elt fellow echans.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Watched the Bollywood movie D-Day yesterday, starring Irfan Khan, Arjun Rampal, Rishi Kapoor.. decent movie although a tad bit long at 2.4 hrs. I'd rate it 2.5/5 for an action thriller.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Watched Don 2 again on Netflix. Love both the Don movies... thrilling and great action... all inspite of SRK.

Finally finished Luv Tuv what Chicken Khurana. The movie has nothing in it to keep you interested. Just meanders on... no character development. There could have been some fantastic ones... but all left to die. The movie does end on a joyful note... so you don't finish it on a frustrated note... like art movies generally tend to do.

Have watched a bunch of Poirot episodes. Nice to watch if you just want to spend some time in front of the tv. Nothing extraordinary... simple stories that you can figure out within the first half.

Watching Mohabattein... why tf did nobody tell me that it stars Uday Chopra. Had I known this, I would have watched it a long time back... FDFS or something. It is a nice movie... keeps you entertained and occupied. Haven't finished it yet... hopefully will end well too

You are free to like/dislike any movie but let me get it straight - you did not like Luv Shuv tey.... but you liked Mohabbatein?

what is going on - something does not seem right.

FDFS was in 2000.

Office chat then -->
Another guy - How about watching Mohabattein?
Me - It will be a horrible movie. I dont like such movies.
Other guy - But there will be lots of girls who will come to watch that.
Me - I would rather stand outside the theatre than go inside.

Kind of gave me an idea why such movies are hits. Girls love SRK. Guys either are forced to accompany their girlfriends or go to check on girls.

I ultimately watched it in a bus (like another drag, Dil to Pagal Hai)
