Hmmm. Actually Netflix was around even in 2005 or 6 (probably started out those days). My Room mate in Londonstan took one month free trial and watched quite a few acclaimed movies like 'Being John Malkovich', 'Downfall', etc.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

There is a docu called 'Green Prince'. I found the premise of a Hamas guy working for Israeli Intelligence quite interesting, so started off. It starts off with just dialogues and stories of 2 guys. the Mole and the Handler in Israeli intelligence. I actually had slept off for some time in this. But it does become interesting in the last half an hour or so, when a lot of things change and there is some real footage to keep the interest.

Also finished after a long time, 'Seal team six'. It is essentially poor man's 'Zero Dark Thirty' with the scenes supposedly in Pak showing vehicles with MH registration and Tata Trucks obviously visible in the background. There are some variations in the story with Zero Dark thirty but 91.328% of the story is the same.

I watched about 41.5432% of it. It has all the masalas for a great movie. Europe and Steve Wonder in one show. The 'Girl next door' Bhagyashree, Family values, Dishum Dishum, some comedy, animal rights and some secularism. Not to forget it launched Salman khan and relaunched Mohinish Behl as the bad guy. Was a great launch for Bhagyashree too, but she chose family over films in true Rajshri Productions Style. Now, a lot of other Rajshri Productions movies are actually on Amazon Prime, including Chit Chor, Vivah, Hum saath Saath hain. So, like History Channel, is Netflix planning to snathch this also from Amazon???

He seems to be putting a placeholder assuming it will come in Netflix after a couple of years

There are two Johnny English movies... and they are both funny. Watched a movie recently... Brick Mansions. Presumably Paul Walkers last complete movie. It is a good fast action movie... worth a watch.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

Folks, I dunn'o understand, why ppl pay for the netflix when all Hindi movies are all available on the net, in a better bluray and dvd qlty, very faster and earlier even,.... n' for the English movies local US library offers free Bluray DVds to rent,..
I dunno wanna open an another similar thread, so when the viewing link are also available I post here, for any recent movies-watch, in order to avoid an another, a similar parallel track thread,..!

keyword is,. " ********** "

copy-paste in a new url, and then in the search box, type any movie,..
there any new/recent Hindi-english and many new movies, they have it upon its availability of on the DVD yet.

Furious 7 ( in Hindi, NO DVD out yet ) and almost all new movies are there. Site is ads and virus free and pretty clean without any junk popups and annoyance. You can also surf their tabs of 'most recent' and 'mostly watched this week',.. 'Hindi',... etc.

BTW,.... I like English comedy movies and we had a very good thread,
earlier on this, and my first ID was rakesh there, which was banned, at that time, for no reason.

Netflix is 8 bucks a month for all its content online, available at the tip of your fingers .. Earlier I used to check movies on laptop and connect to tv with hdmi cable.

Last year I disconnected cable tv and bought a chromecast streaming stick.. works with almost every video playing app on my iphone. I play youtube, netflix, yupp tv, ted, vevo, eros now, etc on the phone and cast it to chromecast .. one touch.

Lost the patience of finding parts of movies, downloading torrents, etc.

Re: Netflix movies worth watching

^^
In my case, I pay only for the fast speed internet, and find special offers and contracts with them,.. ( no cable / tv / phones services hired from them )
And, use all 4 voip phone lines( ooma / obihai / tk 6000 ) free via internet.

Also, with a ( hauppauge piece / roof antenna ) trim free TV channels on my second computer screen ,
I watch internet a lot for all hindi movies, news, YT clips, ( can’t wait till it gets on netflix 3 yrs later ) ,
I have a local library within 1 mile of my home, so it’s my second home,
and there is always a queue of English movies before it even arrive on DVD,
so dVd comes very week at library of new movies,.. , and I copy them on my HD with DVd decrypter/ripper and watch later – in same quality )

Need no torrents. Few hindi movie sites are good ( have a 26" computer screen with 1280P resol ) and happy with their quality.

I Do not pay for cable/ TV / phone to any.

29.99 / mo, pays – fast internet / phones / TV / Hindi movies and all,..

I also like some of the other shows I used to watch on cable for knowledge about the housing market. Some shows about fixing old homes, or inspections.

Holmes Inspection, Rehab Addict, Property Brothers, House Hunters, Keep it or List it, etc
I recently finished watching The men who built America. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Really well made, and lovely narration... thus highly recommended for those interested in US History.

Finished watching "Street Food Around the World", about Ishai Golan (an Israeli actor) eating street food from around the world. Only like 12 episodes with each episode only like 20 minutes. Very good presentation and fun series to watch.

Currently watching .. "How the States Got Their Shapes". Wonderful series uncovering the various issues that decided the boundaries of American states. Super interesting and a very informative show. Highly recommended from me.

I watched that 'The men who built America' .. excellent series, very informative and comprehensive especially for immigrants.

The states shapes series.. again just amazing the work behind it and the presentation. One common thread I see all over the world, WATER, drives the shape and nature of human civilizations.. from the Indus valley to Greek to America its all about water and proximity to it. Reminds of the recent water woes of California and how they predict Vegas will be barren land in not such a distant future.

Another good series is 'Abandoned America' .. how entire cities and holiday spots just lost the charm, are not livable anymore and were abandoned for several reasons. Its already happening in India in Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal, etc .. lack of infra planning and just substandard construction.

Jaggu ji, i would not always push my luck. What you use internet for might be monitored and particularly for Hollywood movies, it is not advisable to use these 2 number ka sites. Had i got Jadoo TV on your advice last year, i would have lost $300. The top guys of that co were arrested last year.
