Arey Virgi pai, the recipe for black-eyed beans is the same as for asparagus, just replace the vegetable You see, Indian-style cooking is all object-oriented. Use the same base class and derive a variety of dishes.

There used to be days during bachelorhood, when me and my room-mates used to prepare gravy for the whole week. Then everyday add different vegetables

But that's what bombaiya is all about, create words as you go along. Dhaasu, I thought, was quite popular... maybe it is pronounced dhaansu. I am sure you have heard raapchik

Sure I will..... I love cooking with lentils. There is so much variation you can do in it and they are real simple to cook. I cook them at least three times a week. Recently there was opportunity to train one American in -- Lentil cooking. After all training he started cooking them regularly and he is enjoying --cooking as well as eating

Sane Mamaji :

Take some aparagus sticks. Place in them in a deep microvable container. Add water such that they are submerged and add pinch of salt to retian green color. Put it in the micorwave, boil it for two minutes.

Drain the water add some salt to taste and pepper. You can now add them to soup or to salad or eat it as a side dish with baked fish or grilled chicken.

Also you could take some butter in a pan . Heat the butter add the asparagus to the butter and saute them for a couple of minutes and eat it with fish or chicken or add it to cream of mushroom soup

You can eat it with fried tofu also. Or may be baked portabello mushrooms with feta cheese in it.
