Yes.. That is where people like you and me need to play the role. Try to reduce your leaning towards congress and give him a chance. Would be good for all.

Modi has gotten praise over the years from many in the Indian and international business communities, who say he has made it easier to do business, cut red tape, that sort of thing. Given his background as a pracharak for the RSS, it's an interesting record. I mean, he didn't go to Harvard like P. Chidambaram.

Yes Modi went to the best ivy league school of 'Hard Work' even many within BJP cant accept that somebody from a state not sitting in Delhi is PM candidate.

Sharma ji represents the echelons of society, one that has suppressed other Hindus for generations.. That has created lower castes in India.. He is burning inside to see somebody from a lower caste even vie for PM post.

Gujjus, Marwaris and Sindhis are like born Harvard MBAs.

Also, it will be a question mark, if Modi will be able to replicate the 'Gujarat Model', in UP or say, West Bengal.

Social activist Anna Hazare on Wednesday declared his support to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who apparently has ambitions outside the state in the coming Lok Sabha election, and snubbed his one-time protege by saying that he will not support Arvind Kejriwal.
The anti-graft leader said that he was supporting Banerjee as she responded to his 17-point agenda and agreed to implement it.

It is very surprising that AK420 has not followed any issues he raised about corruption to the end.. shifting from one to another.. completely scatter brained person.

I don't think Rahul is looking at this from the point of view of Modi's caste. He's posted a lot about Modi and his reasons are different, nothing to do with caste.

Anyways, I googled and found that Modi belongs to a caste called Ghanchi/Teli. Dunno where this caste stands in the Bharatiya social hierarchy. There are gazillions of castes, with differing hierarchies in different regions. This caste is not there in the south. At least, I have never heard of it.

Lower cell rates to consumers may be true.

But if you allocate public resources like spectrum and natural resources like coal to your buddies, it creates a backlash. This will be termed crony capitalism.

This is not a problem unique to India. You see this in many countries that have adopted market reforms. For instance, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, there was a lot of crony capitalism in Russia.

As it is, in India, any pro-growth policies are derided as anti-poor, with some people obliquely saying, "Hey, let's go back to the Licence-Quota-Permit Raj because too much capitalism has all these negative side-effects."

Crony capitalism gives more ammunition to such critics.

Teli are lower caste .. they were traditionally into "oil pressing" or mechants of Oil .. They are listed as OBCs.

I was just trying to provoke Rahul

AAP while attending CII - We are capitalists
AAP while attending maoists meets with binayak - We are maoists
AAP while promising poor - We are socialist
AK out of the blue - I am an anarchist
AAP to commies when they need their help - We are communist
AAP to PMANE/Gnani and leftist groups - We are activists
When they meet with Dawood or extremist group (for funding) - I am a terrorist

Actually they are chameleons. They agree with everyone and identify with everyone. Finally what is real is the anarchist part

I think Anna's magic has fizzled out too. I don't think his own supporters will support his decision to back Mamta Banerjee.

All of them have already burnt their fingers over trusting Kejriwal. Much of Anna's supporters are going to vote for the BJP as Kiran Bedi has recommended.
