Will BJP win 2019 elections?

Going by the rhetoric spelt by opposition parties, it seems BJP stands to lose next election. Recent by elections seem to be supporting them.
Opposition parties quote election promises made by BJP:

1.) 15 lakh deposit
2.) Ram Mandir
3.) Act 370 in Kashmir

etc.

What do you guys think?

Re: Will BJP win 2019 elections?

"Result of the 2019 (Lok Sabha election) is a forgone conclusion. Rajasthan by poll results carry no significance. Remember how we lost bypolls before 2010 assembly elections, but registered landslide victory just months after that. Let the opposition feel that they have a chance but the real result will be different," said Nitish.

Modi and Amit Shah are very shrewd. They will pull something spectacular just before the elections such as another surgical strike or taking out a high value target in Pakistan etc etc. Indians will get fooled, again.

Shrewedness need not necessarily be about fooling the public, it could be superb political acumen. In Delhi MCD elections, they resorted to replacing all the incumbents and giving "newcomers a chance". This too is Gujarat model, having been tried in some municipal elections in Gujarat (?? Rajkot ?? Don't remember the details). Another Gujarat model that we need to keep in mind is the 2002 assembly elections. The government resigned 5 months before its term ended - resigned taking a high moral ground - that of "going to the public" on the Godhra riots issue. That tactic too paid rich dividends. All examples of superb political acumen.

Agreed. The point is opposition can't match Modi and Amit Shah's political acumen and I think (my opinion) BJP will win 2019.

Agreed with the point. But BJP has also noted the results in Gujarat - they were denied the 3rd Rajya Sabha seat from Gujarat - despite their best efforts at breaking away a significant number of Congress MLAs, and the Assembly election results.

They have to now come up with something really impressive to sway the public once again. Or maybe the opposition has to screw up real good again, maybe RaGa will display some new and improved version of pappugiri

as is the case against the Goa speaker. Meanwhile their side has 1 vote in the respective house.

Anyway, who knows what will happen at the eleventh hour - maybe a military event, or maybe some national event that will cause the nation, or a majority of it, under the government's leadership (or take the wind out of the opposition's sails). Maybe a resolution to the Ram Janmabhoomi temple issue.

It's too far.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar finalised the details of the proposals on Wednesday. Source: RepublicTV

The details of the three Ram Mandir proposals are as follows:

Quote:
PROPOSAL 1: Mandir At Ram Lalla, University With Mosque On Gorakhpur Highway
  • Build a temple at Ram Lalla in Ayodhya
  • Build an international university for Muslims on Gorakhpur Highway
  • Build a mosque inside the international university
  • Name the mosque Masjid-e-Imam-e-Hind
This has been proposed by Faizuddin Bahadur Shah Zafar III
Quote:
PROPOSAL 2: Mandir At Ram Lalla, Masjid At Site Provided By Nirmohi Akhara
  • Build a mosque at site owned by Nirmohi Akhara
  • Mosque can be built at Vidyakund in Ayodhya
  • Site proposed by Nirmohi Akhara is undisputed
  • Hand over 40 x 80 disputed site to majority stakeholders
This has been proposed by Nirmohi Akhara
Quote:
PROPOSAL 3: Mandir At Ram Lalla, Masjid At Timber Factory Site In Ayodhya
  • Ram Mandir to be built at Ram Lalla Virajman
  • Build a mosque at timber factory in Ayodhya
  • Cites Quran scriptures to show mosque can be shifted
  • 10,500 signatures from Ayodhya submitted to Supreme Court
This has been proposed by Justice Palok Basu and Ayodhya residents
The proposals have divided the Muslim law board. A member of the Muslim Law Board cites Shariat to say that one can’t pray at a disputed site.

The Supreme Court on Thursday will hear the civil appeals filed by various parties challenging the 2010 Allahabad High Court verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi–Babri Masjid title dispute. A three-judge bench of the Allahabad High Court, in a 2:1 majority ruling, had ordered that the land be partitioned equally among three parties — the Sunni Waqf Board, the Nirmohi Akhara and the deity, Ram Lalla.

The biggest thing that they did not reveal is that the joker sri sri is accepting that we will not lay further claims on kasi mathura and all other temples, which were broken and were made in to mosques.

That way, even VHP was accepting that though 100s of temples were destroyed, only 3 were to be claimed.
