Re: Movies on Youtube/Yuppflix

See if there is any normal conversation in the movie. Saala, every word is part of a "Raj-Kumar" style dialogue. The movie was so bad that I really enjoyed it. And it seemed that the actors enjoyed the movie too

I think that is what director Kanti Shah had in mind. He made this movie to entertain himself and the like minded.

Now this movie is regarded as a cult classic.

Re: Movies on Youtube/Yuppflix

Couple of gult movies caught on yuppflix.
1. Shiva-

First RGV movie and first time I saw it properly all these years. Decent mainstream action movie. Raw RGV and low budget. All his later movies pale in front of this. Anyone familiar with student violence will surely identify with the movie. The movie created 3 stars
-Nagarjuna, Raghuvaran (RIP now) as the trend setting sophisticated villain. And RGV himself. Though me thinks only later movies of RGV that come close are Satya and Sarkar.

2. When such a great review is there(shared elsewhere in EC), had to see the movie.

Great dishum dishum. Younger kid loved it and was trying to figure out the suspense

One question is- does anyone know the top heavy taller lady in this song- babu??

Re: Movies on Youtube/Yuppflix

This one took a long time and is such a classic..

Yalgaar (1992). I watched it on screen after someone watched it and set us up for it saying "Nagma bikini me aati hai aur baad me swimming pool me gaana hota hai". The 'Bikini' scene is for a minute and the song in swimming pool has her in a sari with Sanjay Dutt showing his skin. In those days, i was not appreciative of Cult Classic movies, so did not like this one

The recipe for this masala is 1/2 godfather and 1/2 Romeo and Juliet.
And guess who is the combo of Al Pacino and Leonardo Di Caprio.

An unknown hero Vicky Arora

His Horrible dialog delivery goes very well with daaru and chakna.

The henchmen are also interesting

And the highlight of the movie - Carlos the Jackal

Re: Movies on Youtube/Yuppflix

This is a critically acclaimed hit movie - Why did i watch it. I liked the songs and wanted to catch what the movie was about.
Here it goes. The movie has 4 parts totalling 2 hours 40 miniutes.

Meeting - 1 hour. Kaka and Sharmila meet and fall in love with 3 songs (Mere Sapnon ki rani, Kora Kagaz tha and GinGuna rahe hai Bhawarein).

Turning Point - 10 minutes. Airman Kaka and Sharmila get married in front of god and a photo, and end up screwing to the iconic 'Roop tera Mastana'. As with all bolywood movies, it is a first time hit and Sharmila gets knocked up.

Tragedy - 1 hour 15 minutes - Pregnant Sharmila now has a life of never ending tragedies starting with Kaka dying in an air crashher in laws refusing to accept her, her father dying, the kid being adopted by a friendly character, then saala of that guy trying to rape her and finally her son growing up and also facing an air crash which leads her to turn to Lord Krishna and make an appeal to fix things ( 3 more songs happen in this part).

Ending - 15 minutes - the prayer works and things start getting fixed and at the end all is well.
